The air was no longer stable.
Aren felt it first in his breath.

A sound echoed through space itself.

A black chain emerged from nothingness behind Aren.
Slowly.
Deliberately.
It didn't fall.
It chose where to exist.
Aren turned sharply.
"…What is this…?"
The chain didn't answer.
It wrapped around the air like reality was an object it could bind.

it tightened.
Crack.
The environment froze for half a second.
Then resumed… slightly different.
Aren's eyes widened.
"…It's changing the space?"
A second chain appeared.

Then—

Aren stepped back.
For the first time since awakening—
there was no "instinct confidence."

Aren's heart tightened.

Beings labeled "errors" disappearing without battle.
No screams.
No war.
Just… deletion.
Aren clenched his head.

For the first time—
his Origin System reacted violently.

[RELEASE LIMITS: 12% → 18% → 27%]
The chains reacted instantly.
They tightened.
Like they could feel the system waking up.
Aren's hand shook.
Then—
dark energy exploded outward.

One chain cracked.
But didn't break.
It only paused.
A deep silence followed.
Then the Hunter spoke again.
"…So you resist even this."
A faint tone of interest entered its voice.
"That confirms it."
"You are not a user."
A pause.
"You are a fault in creation."
Aren froze.
"…Fault?"
The chains tightened again.
The space around him began to collapse inward.
Slowly.
Like reality was folding him out of existence.
HOST IN DANGER OF ERASE STATE
Aren looked up.
For the first time—
his expression changed.
Not fear.
Not confusion.
But realization.
"…So that's what I am…"
The chains pulled tighter.
The Hunter's voice faded:
"Containment complete—"
Aren whispered something under his breath.
So low even reality almost missed it.
"…No."
A crack formed in the air around him.
Not from outside.
From him.
[UNKNOWN RESPONSE DETECTED]
[ORIGIN SEED… AWAKENING]
The chains stopped moving.
For the first time.
They hesitated.
And in that silence—
Aren raised his hand.
Darkness gathered in his palm.
Not released.
Not controlled.
