Angelo's POV
Why is it that funerals are filled with people who don't even know the person who died? like Mykel Clark he's a business associate and he didn't even know Mom. I want to cry but no I won't give into weakness not with so many people around I need to be strong for Aries sure she wasn't his mom but she still raised both of us. It all started yesterday when Tita Gemma's car crashed and she died today was the funeral and Aries was crying while hugging Ella and Jay let out a few tears. Angelo just stared at the grave after she was buried and Amelia observed from the background she could clearly see he was hurting. She quietly made her way up to him.
Amelia: Angelo are you alright?
Angelo: I'm perfectly fine.
Amelia: Liar.
Angelo: Amelia I said I'm fine.
Amelia: You're not fine Angelo and that's okay...don't lie to me or yourself.
Angelo: Shut up.
Amelia: Angelo if this is about what happened-
Angelo: Just go away and shut up I don't want to remember what happened.
She looked disappointed while I flushed red.
Amelia: Ok...I'll leave you then.
Amelia's POV
He doesn't even want to acknowledge what happened let's leave it then. This is the first time I'm leaving something undone and for some reason it hurts more than it should. Do I really like him that much? There's no way it's just a stupid crush...but then why do I feel like crying get it together Amelia.
I walked and walked I didn't know where I was going I let my feet carry me. After a while I stopped in a park and sat on the bench good thing I'm wearing a jacket it's cold. I sat there looking at the families that passed by with their children, teens walking around with their friends and couples walking hand in hand but what got to me the most was this little girl running around while her parents followed her laughing I wish I could have that me and my parents walking around the park it's simple but it would mean everything to me.
Jay's POV
I don't know what's going on with Angelo and Amelia but I am going to fix this Jay the meddler is back in business! Speaking of Amelia where is she its 9 pm already shes always back at 7. I should tell Angelo maybe he'll go and find her Ahh that would be so sweet!
I went to Angelo's room and knocked.
Angelo: Come in.
I went inside looking at Angelo who was sitting on the bed.
Jay: Kuya have you seen Amelia?
Angelo: I last saw her at the funeral why?
Jay: She isn't back yet I'm worried.
Angelo: Go find her yourself if you're that worried.
Jay: Aren't you going to look for her?
Angelo: Why would I do that? I don't care about her.
A lie.
Jay: Kuya I know what happened between you two.
Angelo sighed then looked up at me.
Angelo: Jay then you should know I wasn't drunk.
Jay: wait-WHAT!?
Angelo: I wasn't drunk Jay I don't get drunk easily and I kissed her myself.
Jay: Why would you do that? Unless...
Angelo: Jay I like her like a lot.
Jay squealed and grinned.
Jay: Really?! This is amazing!
Angelo: Don't let it go to you're head I'm not telling her.
Jay's smile faded.
Jay: What why not?!
Angelo: She can find someone better than me.
Jay: Kuya you're sacrificing you're feelings for what?
Angelo: She's better off without me.
Jay: So you'd be fine if she kissed someone else right now?
Angelo's hands clenched into fist so hard that his knuckles turned fine but he forced himself to relax I saw that. He then spoke with gritted teeth.
Angelo: Yeah I'd be fine.
Jay: Kuya don't kid yourself go and find her its 10 pm.
Angelo: I spoke badly to her earlier she won't like it if I go find her.
Jay: Never thought I'd see the day Angelo Fernandez would be scared.
Angelo's face flushed slightly he's whipped.
Angelo: People change when their in love.
Jay: So you admit you love her.
Angelo: Ok fine I love her okay Jay happy?!
Jay: Kuya go find her and tell her that.
Angelo: She'll never want me.
Jay: You won't know until you try.
Angelo: Yeah I'll go find her.
With that he grabbed his coat and exited the room. Keifer appeared in the doorway.
Keifer: You did good Wifey.
My breathe hitched did he just call me Wifey?!
Jay: Don't call me that.
Keifer: I will just to make your face flush again..Wifey.
He added the last word with a wink. Mark Keifer Watson what a man you are one word and my heart is fluttering like it'll fly out of my throat. I love You.
