Cold winds hit me the moment I stepped outside
I grabbed the bicycle and started rolling it in the opposite direction
"Time to return this bike and settle things once and for all" I muttered under my breath
After a while
I came to a stop Infront of a small house with blue painting and slightly cracked walls
"Nari, what are you doing here" An elderly voice rang out
I turned and saw Jung-Sook sitting under a tree by the some distance away from the building
"Aunty Jung" I called out
"Oh darling come here" Jung-Sook said as she smiled
I dropped the bicycle besides the house and walked towards her
I stopped some distance away
"I've returned your bike Aunty Jung" I said calmly as I glanced at her
"Oh, that doesn't matter, come and sit down" Jung-Sook said as she patted the space beside her
"There's no need for that, I only came to return your bicycle" I said as I remained standing
"Stop being so distant and come and sit..., you can use this chance to see Min-Gyu...., I'm sure he would happy to see you since it's been a long time" Jung-Sook said as she grinned
I paused slightly
'it wouldn't hurt to just wait..., I can use this moment to make things clear' I thought as I sat down
"So how has school been" Jung-Sook said as she grabbed something from beside her
I Glanced over and saw her holding a mortar and pestle
Noticing my gaze, Jung-Sook turned to me with a smile
"Curious" Jung-Sook asked
I nodded slightly
Jung-Sook smiled softly
"I'm making rice cakes… I remember they're your favorite" Jung-Sook said gently as she continued grinding.
I averted my eyes and gazed towards the distance
Jung-Sook stared at me with raised brows
"Aunty Jung, When is he coming out" I asked
"Are you talking about Min-Gyu" Jung-Sook asked with raised brows
I nodded softly
"Ah, so you've grown tired of this old lady and wants your beloved instead" Jung-Sook said with a playful sigh.
I glanced at her with furrowed brows
"No need to explain,I understand" Jung-Sook said as she stretched out her hand to pat my head
I stood up before her hand could reach me
Jung-Sook froze and looked at me with a confused expression
"Aunty Jung, I think I better get going since Min-Gyu isn't..." I said as I gazed at her coldly
Oblivious to my gaze, Jung-Sook stared at a point behind me
"No need for that darling, he's already here" Jung-Sook said interrupting me
"Grandma" A voice sounded out immediately after her speech
I turned around to see a brown haired guy walking towards my direction
He froze the moment he saw
"Nari" He called out softly but loud enough for me to hear
"Oh you silly boy, come here before you keep standing there like a statue" Jung sook said, amusement clear in her tone
"So he's Min-Gyu" I muttered softly as I glanced at Jung-Sook
Min-Gyu snapped out of his trance and hurried forward
"Ah, take it slowly so that you don't fall down.., she is not going anywhere" Jung-Sook said worriedly
With three strides, Min-Gyu arrived in front of me
"It really is you Nari" Min-Gyu said as he smiled softly
I glanced at him and saw intense blue eyes staring straight at me
I groaned inwardly in frustration
Min-Gyu immediately opened his arms and stepped forward to hug me
My body reacted on instinct as I took a step back
Min-Gyu stopped in his tracks and stared at me, confusion clear on his face
"Nari, is everything alright" Min-Gyu asked softly
"Oh don't worry, She did the same thing to me apparently" Jung-Sook said as she shrugged her shoulders
Min-Gyu's gaze snapped to her, silently urging her to go on.
