Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 – The Moretti Hotel

The car stopped in front of a magnificent building in the city center.

Emily got out of the car and looked up.

It was a luxury hotel.

A very luxurious one.

Tall glass doors.

Uniformed doormen.

Luggage carts moving in and out.

Guests in suits and elegant dresses.

Above the entrance was a name written in gold:

MORETTI GRAND HOTEL

Emily stared at the building.

"Your family owns this?"

Alexander walked to her side.

"This is just one of them."

"One of them?" Emily repeated, shocked.

"The Moretti Group owns hotels in Milan, Paris, Geneva, Dubai, and Shanghai," he said calmly, as if he was talking about something very ordinary.

Emily looked at the hotel again, suddenly feeling very small.

Alexander turned to her.

"From today on, you will intern here."

Emily was stunned. "Intern?"

"Yes," he said.

"You said you didn't want to be useless. This is your chance."

He started walking toward the entrance, then stopped and looked back at her.

"You will start from the lowest position," he said.

"Front Desk."

Emily took a deep breath and followed him.

As soon as they walked into the lobby, all the staff immediately straightened.

"Good morning, Mr. Moretti."

"Good morning, Mr. Moretti."

"Good morning, Mr. Moretti."

Everyone looked nervous.

Then Alexander suddenly put his arm around Emily's waist and pulled her slightly closer to him.

"This is my wife," he said calmly.

"Mrs. Moretti."

The entire lobby went silent.

Emily could feel everyone staring at her.

Some were shocked.

Some were curious.

Some were clearly not happy.

Alexander looked at the Front Office Manager and said one sentence:

"She will start today. Treat her like a normal intern."

He paused for a second, then added,

"But if I find out anyone is making things difficult for her…"

His voice was still calm, but the entire lobby felt cold.

"You will not work here anymore."

Emily suddenly realized something.

Working here as Mrs. Moretti might be much harder than she imagined.

And Alexander—

Was not helping at all.
