Chapter 4 - chapter4:The Unexpected

The world shifted without warning.

One moment, Mr.Nobody was sitting on a park bench, holding a half-melted ice cream. The next noise, lights, movement. "…What the hell?" he muttered, standing still in the middle of a crowded shopping mall. People walked past him like nothing was wrong.Conversations overlapped, footsteps echoed, and faint music drifted from somewhere above. "…How did I get here?" he said under his breath."Wasn't I at the park?"

His eyes moved around, trying to understand, but deep down he already knew. his wasn't normal. This was forced.Like a scene change.

Then he saw him.

A man stood near a flower shop, dressed neatly, posture straight, presence sharp. His hairstyle was clean, his movements confident...the kind of person who didn't blend into the background. The opposite of him. The man picked up a bouquet of red roses, big, bright, perfect, then turned and started walking forward.

Mr.Nobody followed his line of sight and froze.

"…Toma?"

She was coming down the escalator, one hand lightly resting on the rail, completely unaware. Something inside him tightened.No. Not this. Not like this. His body moved before he could think. "I have to..." Stop him. Stop this. Because something felt wrong. Very wrong.

But the moment he took a step, his body stopped completely.

"…Move."

Nothing.

His legs refused. His hands didn't respond. Even his voice felt heavy. "…No… not again…" A familiar glow appeared in front of his eyes.

[System Warning] User cannot interfere with the main plot of Shining Blossom. User cannot interfere with the male lead: Aiden.

"…Male lead?" His breath tightened. "…You've got to be kidding me." He forced his body, pushed, tried to step forward. Nothing happened. Like invisible chains were holding him in place. "…Damn it!" He could only watch. Just like before.

Toma stepped off the escalator. She looked ahead, then stopped. "Aiden?" she said, surprised. "What's with the flowers?" The man Aiden smiled smoothly. "Flowers like these only suit someone like you." Toma rolled her eyes. "You always say nonsense." She crossed her arms slightly. "When are you going to find someone?"

Aiden chuckled. "Well… she might be right in front of.." He stopped.

Because Toma wasn't looking at him anymore.

Her eyes had shifted. Past him.Toward Mr.Nobody.

"…Huh?"

Then suddenly recognition. Her expression changed instantly. "Hey!" She rushed toward him.

Mr.Nobody's eyes widened. "…Toma?"

She stopped right in front of him. "What are you doing here?" she asked. "It's been a week since the park!"

A week.

His thoughts froze. "…A week?" That didn't make sense. For him, it had only been minutes. He had just seen her, just talked to her. "…What…?" he whispered.

Behind her, Aiden walked closer, his expression calm, perfect, controlled. "…Park?" he asked with a polite smile. "You know each other?" Mr.Nobody stiffened. "…It's just..."

"He's the one I told you about," Toma said quickly, smiling. "The guy from the train. He helped me that day."

Aiden's eyes shifted to Mr.Nobody, carefully, like he was measuring something. "I see," he said softly. "Then I might be interrupting." He stepped slightly aside. "You two can continue."

"Not at all, Aidi," Toma said, turning toward Mr.Nobody. "Let me introduce you." She pointed. "This is Mr.Nobody." Then she gestured toward Aiden. "And this is my childhood bestie, Aiden."

Mr.Nobody nodded awkwardly. "…Nice to meet you."

Aiden extended his hand. "Likewise."

Their hands met..firm, brief...but something felt off.Like pressure.Like something invisible passed between them.

Then Aiden asked casually, "So… what do you do?"

Mr.Nobody blinked. "…Job?" The question felt strange. "I'm just an ordinary employee at ILC Bank."

Aiden nodded. "Oh." Then added, "I run Nathen Industries."

Mr.Nobody paused. "…Which one?"

For a second, silence.

Then Toma laughed. "Pfft.." She covered her mouth, still smiling.

Aiden's smile didn't disappear, but it tightened. "It's one of the biggest companies in the city," he said. "You don't know that?"

Mr.Nobody shrugged. "I go to work and go home," he said. "That's it."

Toma smiled, then looked at Aiden. "You should try acting normal like him sometimes." She smirked. "Instead of acting like some rich male lead from a novel."

Aiden laughed softly. "…Maybe."

But his eyes didn't laugh. Not really.

The air felt slightly heavier, like something unseen had shifted.

And then...the scene broke.

Just like that.

No transition. No warning.

Night.

The red bike cut through empty streets, fast, sharp, alive. Mr.Nobody rode in silence, his helmet visor reflecting passing lights. His thoughts were louder than the engine. "…What just happened…?" The wind rushed past him, cold, real.

Toma.

Aiden.

The system.

"…Main plot…" he whispered. "…Male lead…"

His grip tightened. "Shining Blossom…" The name echoed in his head. That system message. That restriction.

"…So that was it…" His voice dropped. "…That was the real story."

The bike accelerated. Faster. The road stretched endlessly ahead, dark and unknown.

"…Toma…"

A pause.

"…and Aiden…"

His chest felt heavy. "…They're the main characters…"

The realization settled in, cold and unavoidable.

"And me…?" His voice almost disappeared in the wind. "…I'm not even supposed to be there."

The engine roared louder, as if answering him or warning him.

"…Then why…" His eyes narrowed behind the helmet. "…why does she keep choosing me?"

The bike sped forward into the night.

Because now this wasn't just about being an NPC anymore. He had stepped into something bigger.A story already written, a plot already decided. And if the system was right—

Then sooner or later it would try to erase him from it.
