Hearing Brandon Crawford's concern, Summer Thorne could only raise her right hand and reply in a low voice, "I just sprained it a little. It's not serious."

Summer quickly added, "I just woke up and haven't tidied up at all. Dad, please wait for me a moment."

Summer smiled back and gently closed the door.
The moment the door closed, the smile on her face vanished completely.
Then, she pushed open the bathroom door and looked at Timothy York, who was standing inside.
Evidently, Timothy York had also heard the sounds from outside. He slowly raised his head, his gaze meeting hers in the mirror.
Neither of them had expected Brandon Crawford to come to Rivenhall to see her, let alone that he would show up so early.
"Are you in a hurry to leave?" Summer asked him in a low voice. "I can take him downstairs for a walk."
