Megan Kane finally got the chance to meet up with her best friend.
"You're finally here! You have no idea how long I've been waiting. I was starting to think you wouldn't make it."
"Seriously, you two were so slow today. Did something happen?"
Blair White looked at the two of them, her expression anxious, wondering if they'd run into trouble on the way.
"What could have happened? We got here safe and sound, didn't we? We were just a little delayed on the road, don't overthink it!" Megan Kane said with a smile, patting her friend's shoulder. She felt there was no need to dwell on it.
After all, there really wasn't anything more to discuss about the matter.
"Okay, okay, I was just worried about you. Come on, I'll take you to my place. Have you found somewhere to stay yet?"
"I'm staying in a guesthouse over here. It's basically a private apartment. If you haven't found a place, you could squeeze in with me."
