"I'm sorry, Mr. Quinn, Yates is on a business trip with his boss today and forgot his phone." It was Reaper Yates's subordinate, Evan Lawson, on the line. "Is there anything especially urgent? Once I get in touch with him, I'll have Yates call you back..."
'Reaper Yates wasn't the reckless type to forget his phone. If he did, it must mean he was on some confidential mission where he couldn't use his regular phone—only a new one issued by his boss.'
Sean Quinn understood. "Nothing urgent. We'll connect when he gets back..."
"Of course, Mr. Quinn. I'll pass your message on to Yates..."
After hanging up, Sean Quinn went back upstairs and sat at his computer. He had been studying the encrypted file all night and was finally making some headway. He planned to crack it at home this morning.
