When she pried open the chess piece, she found it was completely empty.
'Was it always empty? Or did someone beat me to it?'
'No. Since Father left a clue to find this piece, it must have a secret inside. So... someone must have hidden what was in it?'
'Was it Byron Fisher?'
She reassembled the chess piece, returned to the dining area, and shook her head at Sean Quinn. Then she looked at the expressionless Byron Fisher. Zoe Fisher, however, looked surprised. "Ms. Lockwood, what do you want my chess piece for?"
"Nothing much." She smiled and sat down. "Come on, let's play..."
They played a game of Chinese military chess for nearly twenty minutes, which ended in a decisive victory for Byron and Zoe Fisher. By then, they had also completed a tour of the lake and returned to a different dock.
Stella Lockwood and Sean Quinn disembarked from the yacht. Morton Grant would take Byron and Zoe Fisher to another safe location before sending them home.
