A slap flew across—SLAP!—right on Sean Quinn's face, leaving him utterly stunned.
"Sorry, but you're not him. And even with that face, I'm not interested in you." She shoved him away and stomped down the stairs.
Sean Quinn rubbed his stinging cheek and saw Hanson smiling at him from nearby. It was a sneer. 'He must have come back just to laugh at me,' he thought.
"What's so funny? If she won't accept me, it's over for you too. You think you can just rekindle things with her?" He shot Hanson a glance and calmly sat down.
"You know, you really were asking for that," Hanson said firmly. "What was that about 'not minding if I share her'? Now you've made her angry with me, too..."
"If you really minded, would you have let me try?" Sean Quinn retorted, his words a cold, hard truth.
Hanson fell silent and vanished without a word.
