A man with fluffy black ears atop his head and a swinging, long, black, furry tail burst into the villa with a cold and stern expression.
Holly Wyatt didn't know what was happening; though deaf and mute, she somehow heard the man's disdainful voice at that very moment.
[The cub has grown a little.]
[Still too weak.]
[How did she end up looking like this? So gaunt and scrawny, so unsightly. Standing there, she looks like a telephone pole—the shortest one, at that.]
Holly Wyatt: ...
She rubbed her fingertips together, staring at the tip of the man's tail that curled into a little heart shape, wanting to touch it...

Two years later.
Dressed in a camisole and hot pants, the moment she pulled open the main door, she heard the man's sharp, explosive inner shriek.
[Aaaah! Damn it! Who taught the cub to dress like this?! I was only gone for two years, where is my cub who used to be all bundled up?!]
[Give her back!!]

As the leader of the Wolf Clan, Silas Thornton's primary mission was to manage the pack, and his secondary mission was to raise the cub well.
One day, he discovered that the cub he was raising actually wanted to date! This meant the cub wanted to procreate!
That was unacceptable!
And so, Holly Wyatt could always hear the man's inner ramblings.
[The cub is still too young; she can't run off and procreate with some random man out there.]
[If the cub is really that desperate to procreate, I suppose I can reluctantly make a sacrifice.]
[Why doesn't the cub want to procreate yet? I'm already prepared.]
Holly Wyatt: !!?? Does this mean she can finally touch his big tail?

Chloe Thornton's expression grew darker. She replied reluctantly, "I know."


Vincent Thornton saw Chloe wasn't happy. He leaned in and whispered soothingly, "She's just a cub. It's not like the Lord of the Wolves is looking for a mate."


"Of course I know that!" Chloe Thornton's voice was loud, as if her true feelings had been exposed and she was trying to cover them up. "Why are you even bringing that up!? Even if the Lord of the Wolves found a mate and had his own child, I would still respect the Lady of the Wolf and their child!"


All the other wolves present froze in place, staring at her with odd expressions.


"What are you looking at?!" Chloe Thornton jutted out her chin defiantly and pointed at the Lingzhi on the ground. "This Lingzhi will lose its potency if we don't process it soon!"


"Alright, alright. Get the Lingzhi to the kitchen. I'll handle it." Master Thornton waved his hand and headed for the kitchen.
