"That's right, it's me." Dawn O'Connell's triumphant voice came through the line. "Congratulations on getting kicked out of your family. Oh, right, I'm sure you've seen in the news that Howard and I are getting married, haven't you?"
Listening to Dawn O'Connell's gloating, Phoebe Faulkner replied coolly, "It's a shame you're not dead."

When her taunts failed to provoke Phoebe Faulkner, who instead delivered such a calm retort, Dawn O'Connell was the one who flew into a rage. Her voice, seething with humiliation, shot back, "Phoebe Faulkner, you brought all of this on yourself! You have no right to fight me for Howard! I'm carrying his child, and he's going to marry me very soon!"
"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you. The mayor of this city is my biological father. By marrying me, Howard will be more powerful than ever! And you? You're just a cast-off from the Faulkner Family, unwanted trash!"
