Time in the hospital room slowly trickled by.
An IV drip was almost finished, but Phoebe Faulkner still hadn't woken up.
Jace Lennox looked at the pale figure on the bed. His heart was filled with self-blame and worry. Unable to bear it, he stood up, left the room, and went to find the doctor again.
He needed to know why she wasn't awake yet, why she had been unconscious for so long, why she still refused to wake up.
He admitted it. He had been too rough last night.
