Perhaps it was this sense of security that made her momentarily forget her fear of the weightlessness.
The ride continued its ups and downs. Although Phoebe Faulkner was still scared, with Jace Lennox by her side, the fear wasn't as intense. Finally, the roller coaster slowly returned to the station.
Jace Lennox got out first and helped Phoebe Faulkner down.
"How do you feel?" Jace Lennox asked, a little worried as he looked at Phoebe Faulkner's pale face.
He knew she was afraid of this and shouldn't have brought her on this ride. But remembering what a certain someone had said, he had brought Phoebe Faulkner over on a strange whim. He just wanted her to know that there was nothing to be afraid of with things like this.
Phoebe Faulkner's face was still a bit pale, but she was doing much better than any other time she had been on a ride like this.
She shook her head and looked up at Jace Lennox, offering a smile. "I'm fine."
