Evelyn Grant's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "You know how to cook?"
In her mind, a young master born with a silver spoon in his mouth shouldn't have had any reason to set foot in a kitchen. He was used to having everything handed to him, living the life of a king.
Perhaps her look of disbelief was too obvious, because Preston Keaton sighed and patted her head.
"Do you think I'm completely useless?"
"That's not it." Evelyn Grant beamed. "You're especially good at making money."
Preston Keaton pulled her into his embrace and pressed a kiss to her forehead. "This mouth of yours... When will you ever say something I actually want to hear?"
'Even when I say what he wants to hear, he doesn't believe me.'
'No matter how many times I tell him I like him, he just assumes I'm lying to appease him.'
