Chapter 2:
Next day:
Nolan woke up to commotion. Still groggy from sleep, he made his way to the bathroom.
After fresh up, Nolan went up stairs.
He stood at the threshold of the living room, staring at the entrance from where a boy around his age entered.
Mrs Palmer rushed toward him and pulled him into a tight hug
" Oh my baby, I missed you so much " Mrs Palmer said as she pulled away.
" I did too " The boy said softly. Then his gaze fall on Nolan and his whole face lit up.
The boy rushed toward him and pulled him into a hug " Nolan I missed so much that I can't wait to come home "
Nolan stood frozen then slowly and hesitatenly he hugged him back.
The boy pulled away " Did you missed me too? " He asked
Nolan stayed silent for a moment then laughed awkwardly and said " I... I actually don't remember you "
The boy's smile dropped " What... What do mean you don't remember? " He asked his voice trembled slightly.
Nolan fidgeted with his fingers.
" I was in an accident... And lost my memories " Nolan said.
" What?! " The boy panicked. He cupped his face in both hands and started checking for injuries.
" Are you ok? Did you get seriously injured? Dose anywhere hurt? " He bombarded Nolan with questions.
Nolan held his hands and tried to calm him
" Don't worry, I'm fine I just lost my memory nothing else " He tried to reassure him
The boy finally calmed down after he was sure that Nolan was fine.
" So you really don't remember me? " He asked and Nolan nodded
" It's fine, I will make you remember. For now, just remember that I'm Elias, your brother "
Nolan nodded.
Elias beam and dragged Nolan toward the garden " Come on I have a lot of things to talk about ".
Nolan smiled and went with Elias.
They sat in the garden talking for hours.
They were so immersed in talking that they didn't notice the maid coming.
" Young master Elias, Young master Carder came to meet you " The maid bowed
Elias' face twisted with angry when his precious time with Nolan was interrupted.
" Tell him I'm busy and make sure nobody disturbs us " He said angrily, his early gentleness with Nolan disappeared completely.
Just then a voice sounded behind them
" You are busy with this brat "
They turned around and saw Jayden Carder, the young master of the carder family.
Elias' face flushed red with rage.
" Who gave you the right to call him brat? " Elias asked with barely contained rage.
Elias can handle anythight but he can't handle if anybody insults Nolan, touches him or try to take him away.
Jayden stared at Elias flushed face and his expression soften.
Jayden liked Elias since he was five but Elias always ignored him and clung to Nolan.
This made Jayden hate Nolan more and more. He can't stand Nolan at all.
But Elias mostly stayed with Nolan which forced Jayden to meet Nolan again and again.
This was also the reason for which Mr and Mrs Palmer hated Nolan.

Jayden sighed " Elias, he is just a filthy orphan. Why do you always take his side " He said frustrated.
" Nolan is not filthy, DON'T YOU DARE CALL HIM FILTHY " Elias yelled.
While Elias and Jayden argued, Nolan stared at Elias then at Jayden time to time.
He was very confused at that moment since he didn't remember Jayden. But he knew one thing that the strange boy hated him.
He stared at Jayden for a long time.
Jayden was tall, handsome and had lean muscular body.
Nolan didn't know what came out him but he still blurted it out " You are cute like big bear " He said while looking straight at Jayden.
Elias and Jayden frozed after what Nolan said.
For thirty seconds, nobody moved then Jayden's face turned bright red.
" What... What " Jayden stammered, he couldn't find any words.
Meanwhile, Elias stared at Jayden with full of hatred.
" Stay away from us " He spat out and dragged Nolan away.
When they reached a secluded area, Elias let go of Nolan and tuned to look at Nolan.
Elias looked like a wounded puppy.
" Why did you call him cute? Am I not cute? "
Elias asked, his eyes filled with tears.
Nolan panicked and hurried to explain.
" No no I didn't mean like that... I just... I just... I don't know what over me I just blurted it out "
Elias wiped his tear.
" You really didn't mean? " He asked and Nolan nodded his head quickly.
" Ok I believe you " Elias said and Nolan breathe a sigh of relief.
" Can I get a hug? "
Nolan hesitated for a second before spreading his arms. Elias quickly hugged Nolan.
For a second something flashed in Elias's eyes. Something raw and obsessive but it quickly disappeared.
Elias tighten his grip on Nolan, buried his face in the croak of his neck and inhaled his scent.
Nolan had an unnatural scent.
It didn't smell "nice" in a typical way.
It smelled captivating, the kind of scent people don't understand, but can't forget.
His scent was a mixture of Violet, Blue Lotus, Iris, White Lily and a hint of Jasmine.
It intoxicated Elias when ever he smelled it.
Elias loved his scent.
At midnight:
Everyone was asleep except one.
Elias slowly opened the door of Nolan's room, carrying a thick blanket.
He entered, closed the door gentle and locked it.
He then walked toward the mattress and placed the blanket on the floor.
He stared at Nolan's shivering figure then he remove the thin blanket.
He draped the thick blanket he had brought on Nolan.
He sat on the mattress and stared at Nolan's peaceful face, admiring his beauty.
Then Elias slipped inside the blanket and snuggled close to Nolan.
Nolan instinctively pulled Elias in his arms.
Elias nuggled his head in his chest and fall asleep.
