Chapter 3:
Next day:
Nolan's eyes flattered. He felt warm but something heavy was pressing to him.
Just then someone stared pounding on the door.
" Nolan open the door " Mrs Palmer voice came from behind the door.
Nolan's eyes snapped opened. He looked around the room then inside the thick blanket to see Elias curlled up against him, sleeping peaceful.
Nolan was confused when he saw the blanket and Elias but quickly got up when Mrs Palmer kept pounding.
Nolan opened the door and Mrs Palmer push passed him into the room.
She stared at Elias on the old mattress and her face twisted with rage.
She turned shapely to Nolan.
" What did you do to him? Did you drugged him? Did you do something weird with him? " She bombarded Nolan with questions.
" What?... I... I didn't " Nolan was flabbergasted by her out burst.
"I knew it, you were no good. How can filthy brat like you be any good? " She spat and was about to hit him when Elias woke up.
" What's the matter? Why are you yelling? " Elias asked while rubbing his eyes.
Mrs Palmer rushed toward him.
" Elias baby, are you ok? " Mrs Palmer's daminier changed completely. The earlier rage disappeared and changed to concern.
Then she turned toward Nolan and her face twisted with disgust.
" You brat, what are you standing there for? Go get Elias' slippers "
Nolan stood frozen, he was still in a bit of shock from her earlier out burst.
" Nolan— " Before she could finish Elias cut her off.
" Mom don't talk to him like that " Elias said irritated.
Mrs Palmer fall silent.
" Elias you talked to me like this for this boy "
" Mom he is not just any boy, he is my brother. He's mine " Elias said possessively.
" Fine " Mrs Palmer said and stomed out from there.
Nolan stared at Mrs Palmer's retreating figure then turned to Elias.
" How are you in my room? And from where did this blanket came from? " Nolan asked.
Elias got up from the mattress and hugged Nolan.
" I was a little scared last night so came to your room and brought the blanket with me. Are you mad at me? " He stared at Nolan with his puppy dog eyes and asked.
Nolan sighed then patted Elias' head and smiled " It's alright I'm not mad " .
Elias smiled and buried his face in the croak of his neck.

Nolan and Elias sat on the couch in the living room.
Elias started showing Nolan suit designs and cake designs.
" Nolan, which one his good? This one or this one? " Elias pointed at two suits.
Nolan selected the second suit.
" This one, it will look good on you ".
Then Elias handed him a catalog of cake designs.
" Choose a design " Elias said sweetly.
Nolan looked at the designs then at Elias.
" Why are you showing these designs to me? " Nolan asked confused.
" For birthday " Elias said.
" Birthday? Whose birthday? When's the birthday? " Nolan asked even more confused.
Elias face plamed himself " I forgot you don't remember ".
" My birthday is in one week " Elias said excitedly.
Nolan gasped " Your birthday is in one week? ".
" Yes! " Elias squealed.
" I'll be tuning 18 soon! " Elias jumped in excitement.
" Ahmm... Btw.. Can I ask you something? " Nolan asked.
" Of course " Elias replied.
" When is my birthday? " Nolan asked.
" Two days before New Years Eve " Elias replied.
" Wait that's close "
Both Elias and Nolan's birthday was in December.
Nolan's birthday was two weeks after Elias'.
They selected suits, cake, decorations etc.
Carder mansion:
Jayden sat on the couch. The TV was on but he was absent minded.
He had not slept well last night. Nolan's words kept echoing in his mind.
Some had called him handsome, some called him hot but no body in his entire life had called him cute.
But Nolan had called him cute not only that he had also called him a bear.
From which angle did Nolan found him cute like bear.
Jayden was so lost in his thought that he didn't notice his father turning off the TV and sitting beside him.
" What's the matter Jayden? " Mr Carder asked.
Jayden snapped out of his thought. He turned to his dad startled.
" Dad! You scared me for a sec " Jayden said.
"You seems lost. What happened? " He asked.
" Nothing " Jayden said and turned away but the tips of his ears were red.
Mr Carder gave a knowing smirk.
" Did you get a boyfriend or did Elias confessed? " He teased.
" Stop it dad " Jayden grumbled.
" Ok ok. Now tell me what had happened? " Mr Carder asked.
" I... I... He called me... Cute " Jayden face turned crimson.
" Who?! Who called you cute? " Mr Carder asked exited to know who made his son blush.
" Ahmm... Nolan " Jayden said embarrassed.
"What? Nolan? The kid who looked like a little kitten? " Mr Carder was shocked for a moment then he burst out laughing, delighted.
Just as Jayden was about to say something a maid entered.
" Master Davis, an invitation from the Palmer family came " The maid held out the invitation.
Davis Carder took the invitation and read it.
" Seems like it an invitation to Elias' birthday banquet " Davis said.
" Elias' birthday? " Davis nodded.
" Prepare a good gift for him " Davis said and left the living room.
Jayden sat there for a moment thinking about what to give Elias.
Then he went to his room.

In the top floor of the No. One company in the world.
A man stood, hands in his pockets, staring out the floor to ceiling window.
Just then the man's aid holding a tablet entered.
" Boss we found Young master " The aid said.
" Good, find ever single information about him and bring it to me " The man said still staring outside.
" Understood boss " The aid replied.
" You can leave now " His aid bowed and left.
He pulled out his hand and placed it against the glass.
" Nolan my baby brother don't worry we will be coming soon to take you home. Just wait a little longer ".
