Josie looked toward the sound and saw her father, Chester Quinn, and his family getting off a large bus.
Their faces were pale and haggard, and their expressions filled with shock when they saw Josie.
Chester Quinn's eyes widened. Before he could say anything, he was shoved aside by someone behind him.
"Get the hell out of the way! You're blocking the path!"
A brutish-looking man rudely shoved past them. Maeve Sullivan staggered a few steps and nearly fell, but she didn't dare utter a single word of complaint, only clutching desperately at Chester Quinn's sleeve.
Josie watched, intrigued. 'So her arrogant stepmother was capable of swallowing her pride.'
And Chester Quinn, the "man" who had once raised a hand to his own wife to protect his mistress, now didn't even dare to breathe too loudly. He just kept his head down, letting the crowd push him around.
Josie watched with cold eyes, a derisive smirk playing on her lips.
"They have food!"
