Before Renee Kane could even clearly identify who the voice belonged to, Xylos's chilling voice instantly resounded through the heavens and the earth.
"Even you would betray me?! Ante—"
Renee Kane froze.
In the void, a slender figure slowly appeared, but its once-brilliant gold color now seemed somewhat dim.
It didn't look at Renee Kane, instead speaking urgently to Big Eyes. "Xylos, don't continue down this path! Have you forgotten? Mother once said she didn't want..."
"Enough! Since you've made your choice, then you can be destroyed along with them."
If Big Eyes's previous anger was like that of a superior being who had been provoked, then after discovering that even Ante was siding with Renee Kane, it suddenly grew quiet.
But everyone could feel the fury roiling beneath that suppressed calm, waiting for the right moment to erupt and drag everything before it into hell.
Ante naturally sensed the killing intent in Xylos's words.
