Walking down the dungeon reeled back memories into my head, memories that started from the first day the pack accepted Kael was gone, unreachable.
It was chaos; controlled chaos. The elder held a meeting for hours, the council women threw tantrums, the people of the pack threatened a coup.
It was nearly a bloodbath, a bloodbath where I was supposed to emerge a hero but a clueless schmuck tried to play hero before me.
