Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

‎ CREW'S MANSION (French Riviera)

‎It was a 30 minutes ride from the company to the Mansion. The gates opened giving them access to enter. The car rode elegantly into the compound. It was a Rolls‑Royce Ghost, a symbol of quiet power and refined wealth. The car had a smooth black exterior that shone under any light, its body perfectly polished without a single unnecessary detail. The iconic front grille stood bold and proud, with clean lines that gave it a strong but elegant presence on the road.

‎It came to a halt in front of the front porch. The doors opened in a soft, controlled motion, revealing an interior lined with fine black leather. The seats were wide and incredibly comfortable, designed to make every ride feel effortless. Soft ambient lighting ran along the edges, giving the inside a calm and expensive feel, especially during early mornings and late evenings.

‎The dashboard was sleek and modern, with polished wood and metal finishes that blended perfectly together. Every button and control was placed with precision, simple to use but clearly high-end. The car moved almost silently, gliding smoothly on the road without any rough sound or vibration.

‎ The three men came down from the car. Felix handed the key over to one of the men close by to park.

‎As they walked towards the entrance, the sound of laughter coming out from inside the mansion could be heard all the way outside. Damien stopped on his tracks and turn towards the two men behind him. He gave Benson a puzzled look. "What's going on in there?" He asked turning to look at Felix. They both looked clueless. He walked straight into the living room.

‎Not even a single maid was around to attend to anyone's need. The laughter became louder and as he walked past the staircase it became even more louder.

‎He got to the dining room and stopped a few steps away. The scene displaying in front of him left him in total shock. In front of him was all his workers happily having a feast in his dining table, while laughing wholeheartedly. None of them noticed his presence. He turned to his right, and there she was...

‎She was sitting at the dining table smiling softly, she was wearing simple nightwear, a soft top and matching shorts. Nothing special, nothing too dressed… but I couldn't look away.

‎She looked calm, like she belonged there. Her hair fell loosely around her shoulders, and she didn't seem to notice him at first. There was something natural about her… something quiet.

‎And somehow, it caught his attention, More than it should have. For the first time in his life, he felt the urge to get closer. It felt like her presence alone was drawing him in.

‎'I've seen many women before. None of them made him pause like this.' He wondered. He's eyes stayed on her. He wasn't liking this feeling at all.

‎But then, something felt… strange. There was this Familiar feeling he felt the moment he saw her.

‎He frowned a little, looking at her more carefully. Her face… her eyes… it felt like he'd seen her before. Like a memory trying to come back, but he just couldn't fully remember it.

‎Felix turned to look at Benson, both of them waiting for his outburst. Then finally, it came. "What the hell is going on here?" He finally asked. A question no one dared to answer. They all turned to his direction finally noticing his presence. The once happy and lively atmosphere was gone in an instant now replaced with fear and regrets. All the workers stood up immediately. "We're so sorry Mr. Crew. It'll never happen again." They apologized and ran out leaving only his wife there. She stood there silently with her head bent. Not even able to look at him. "What's all this about?" He asked her. She finally raised her head again to look at him. "It's all my fault Mr. Crew. I'm not used to eating alone, so I asked them to join me. Please do not blame them." She apologized. 'What's she playing at?' He stood there staring at her for almost a minute without saying a single word. He just couldn't shake the feeling of familiarity he felt towards her off. He has never spent time with any lady except his cousin Sasha. So where has he seen this face before? "Mr. Crew?" Felix called out, bringing him back to earth. He turned his head slightly to the side towards Benson. "Quiet you said." He said before walking out of there. The two men followed behind him. He got to his study, opened the door and walked in.

‎The study was quiet, spacious, and filled with a calm, controlled kind of luxury.

‎Dark wood covered most of the room, from the polished floor to the large desk that sat at the center. The desk was wide and clean, with only a few neatly arranged files, a laptop, and a pen placed with purpose. Behind it stood a tall chair, simple but clearly expensive. Shelves lined one wall, filled with books, documents, and a few carefully placed items. Nothing was out of place. Everything looked planned.

‎A large window stretched across the other side of the room, showing the night outside. The curtains were slightly drawn, allowing just enough of the city lights to reflect softly inside.

‎The lighting was low but warm, giving the space a focused and serious feel. There was also a smaller sitting area with two chairs and a table, set for quiet discussions. He walked to the other side of his desk "Get me every information you can find about her." he ordered while taking of his suit and hung it up on the jacket holder by the side of his desk. Leaving only the white inner shirt. He took of his tie too doing the same for it and then he opened the first three buttons of the shirt. "I want to know everything." "I have a feeling, like she'll stare up trouble soon." He added sitting down on his chair. "I don't think she is capable of doing anything, that you'd need to prepare yourself." Felix said chuckling. "She looks harmless, bud." He added also sitting on one of the chairs at the front of the desk. "Yeah, and unpredictable." Damien replied. "Bro, this is your first meeting with her. She hasn't even done anything." Felix laughed.

‎ Damien glared at him coldly. "So turning my home into a circus filled with laughter isn't something?" "Don't you find that suspicious?" Damien asked. "What if she did that to try and get some information about me from them?" he added. Felix turned to Benson. "Help me out here." Benson smiled and said. "Mr. Crew I think you need to rest." "I'll ask the maid to prepare your dinner and bath." He added before walking out. "You're just trying to run Benson." Felix said as he walks out. Benson paused at the door before replying. "Yes sir. Good luck sir." he closed the door behind him leaving the two of them alone in the room. "Get me what I asked for Felix. Also, set up a meeting with Mr. Hitler. I'd like to hear what he has to say for himself." Damien ordered. "I'll do that right away." Felix said standing up. "By the way, how's Sasha doing?" He asked. "Get out." Damien said glaring at him. "Fine, I'm out." Felix said, finally leaving the office.

‎Damien sighed sinking deeper into his chair. He felt very uneasy. His mind kept wandering back and forth. Who was she and why did she seemed familiar when he saw her earlier? What was the Hitler family planning? He needed answers.

‎And he needs them soon!
