Cherreads

Chapter 28 - Report 23- Shie Hassaikai

Riding in a taxi to the Yamaguchi Prefecture was Albert.

'God I love Japanese taxi drivers.' Albert thought.

It was a silent ride all the way to the prefecture, the driver questioned nothing and simply dropped him where he wanted and was paid in full.

"Thanks for the ride." Albert said in disguise.

"Hm." the driver then rode off.

Albert was dropped off at a suburban area about 2 miles of where he was supposed to go.

Albert decided to walk.

"Finally I can talk." Mélusine said. "Those was a boring ride. I could have just taken you there you know."

"I know but you know, secrecy."

"Fine, fine. Did you at least get some sleep? I wasn't paying much attention."

"I got a little. I don't need very much to work."

"And how much does it take for you to actually need to sleep?"

"Hmm… the longest was 108 hours but that was because I was causing some unrest within Taiwan and China. Man it was rather brutal what happened to Taiwan after they were no longer the world's number one microchip manufacturer."

"Lots of death?"

"Yup-yup. Lots died. Wasn't pretty, it hit China really hard. Well that was by design and purpose. When winter came a lot died from the cold and starvation. By that point America had already crippled all of their other allies. Russia was engaged in a civil war, North Korea was... well it was being taken by South Korea in a full on war. Then there was the whole Great Desert Wars, that had all the big nations of the middle east full on in war."

"And who won that?"

"Turkey."

"A animal won?"

"No the nation Turkey. Did the grail not give you knowledge on current geopolitics'?"

"No, why? Not like the Grail War is an actual war. It's seven humans, probably, and seven servants killing one another."

"Then why did you ask who won if you don't have an idea of what I am talking about nor care of the subject matter."

"Because I like listening to you explain stuff about the world."

Albert was silent for a moment. It took him that moment to accept the complement, it is not every day he gets one from a dear friend.

"Alright!" He smiled. "What else do you wanna know about?"

"Anything you find interesting."

He thinks on what to talk about nothing came to mind. This was a rather sobering moment for him.

"... Huh?"

"What?"

"I... do not have any interests. I'm just... pretty boring."

"Oh..." Mélusine quickly came up with an excuse to make this situation lighter. "W-well you only just broke from your handler so you just need to explore more options and stuff! Like uh... what about your job??" She wanted to punch herself for such a stupid choice of words.

"Hmm..." Albert did give that some thought. "Well... I did enjoy the traveling. I liked seeing much of nature's beauty. I think my personal favorite from what I remember was traveling through the South American jungles and I saw monkey pushing up a armadillo up a mountain as the sun sets. I accidently made sound and the money quickly ran off and the armadillo rolled down the mountain."

"Anything more like that?"

"There was this one time I was in the Sahara Desert..."

She listened to him as he began to talk about his travels. He truly did go to a wide variety of places. While he talked about this Mélusine noticed how happy he was talking about it.

'I guess he loves to travel.'

A while later.

"Ah. This seems right." He stands before a dilapidated shrine that hasn't been maintained in years.

He goes past the torii gates and into the building. In the dead center was a metal briefcase, illuminated by the moon. Albert kneels and pressed his thumb on the lock.

Beep!

Sting!

A small needle pricks his thumb and the sound of it opening echoed through the cool night air.

Albert opens it to see his gear.

"Ooh!" Mélusine said martializing to admire the gear.

Being lit by the moonlight were his guns: Eve and Lilith. Two pistoles of elegant design made with the ideas of two things, a magnum and sci-fi. With the guns were at a total length of 390mm that weighed 25kg with a magazine of 14 rounds a piece. 17kg when not with a magazine.

These guns are meant for one thing: ripping and tearing through the enemy.

"These are Eve and Lilith, name after the first two women of the Bible. Fun fact I learned while I was in the middle east, did you know Eve was not made from Adam's rib, in Aramaic the anatomical word for a rib bone is Ala. In the bible it said God made Eve from a tsela from Adam, the word appears in several instances in the bible not as a rib bone but translated as half or side."

"Neat, neat…" Mélusine was focused on the guns before her eyes. "Can I pick one up?"

He sighs. He thought that was a fun fact.

"Go ahead."

Mélusine picked up Eve, a red gun with green accents and an apple engraved at the end of the barrel.

"This is so pretty! But a bit heavy no?" Mélusine could tell even with her high strength that Eve and in turn Lilith were heavy.

"Yeah, that is the point. The material was helped created by science and Quirks and made for durability and shock distribution. Scientists call this metal Love Metal, a love child between tungsten and steel… they actually said a love child a lot thinking back on it?" Albert said while putting Lilith, a white gun with purple accents with a woman engraved on it near the trigger, to the side.

He then removes the first layer of the briefcase to reveal another layer containing the suit.

"What is that?" Mélusine said glancing at two large black bracelets.

"My suit." Albert removes his disguise as well as clothing.

"Do you have to be naked?" Mélusine was enjoying perfection of her masters body.

"Yes. It works better that way." Albert puts on the bracelets and the black quickly covered him like he was dunked in ink. Head to toe like he was a hole in space.

"Ooh!! That's cool!"

"Just wait it'll start up soon."

[Morning Star suit activated.]

The suit then scanned his eyes.

[User: Cain. Updating Cain on new mission.]

Soon enough his eyes light up with an empty pair white circles that made him look a shadow-like creature or the Anti-Spiral from Gurren Lagann to give a clearer picture on how much he stands out.

The bodysuit itself was also made using science and quirks. A lot went into it to enhance Albert's capabilities, it is also undetectable—the trade off for this is that it doesn't have any kind of communications or tracking. Granted they signed off on doing away with those features because Albert was already built to follow orders, and they had high confidence in Albert not losing nor dying. The briefcase that contains it however does have a tracker and is what updates the suit.

Funny enough this wasn't the first time America had such confidence in their weapons of war, such as the F-35… nothing is ever perfect. Even Albert…

"Ah the HUD is on." Albert said as several things popped up. "It's good this suit doesn't have anything to record."

"Why is that?" Mélusine said touching the suit that fit perfectly on Albert's body to show off its contours.

"Because I am the recorder, and it would cause needless processing. Now." He picks up his guns and holstering them in his special holster that also refills the gun when he holsters them. "Let's get going. You know when to strike."

"When you call it, I'll finish the job! Oh and that was a fun fact by the way!" She said smiling.

"Thank you." He nods in reply.

Albert moved quickly through the night and darkness arriving at a large factory a bit aways from any prying eyes with several closed businesses.

"Haa… Alright. Mélusine you feel a Servant?"

"No. In fact that factory is giving off a… off-putting energy."

"How so?"

"Instinct."

Looking at the factory Albert also began to feel it as well, it was the lack of a feeling that bothered him.

"… Be ready."

"Hm."

Albert stretches a bit before running and jumping into the area.

As he entered the premises a red feather, tucked away twitched. Far away in eating some dinner, the one who was supposed to help Albert remembers he had a job.

"… Ah. I forgot I had that."

They quickly hurried and ate their food and took off.

They were a man of average height with a slim and narrow build. He has feathery, ash blond hair that is swept messily backward, with some of the front tufts sticking up in arcs above his head. More notably were his large, bright red wings.

"Hah… another job for the Hero Public Safety Commission."

Albert moves through the shadows.

"So you think Archer and the boss are together?" said a guard.

"Would you shut up! What if they catch you saying that! You'll get turned to goo! Or filled with bullets!" said another guard smoking.

Albert ran out of the darkness.

"!—"

Albert moved so fast the guards didn't even have time to register what was happening when Albert stuck his hand through their chests.

"Nice info." He said with a deeper pitched voice.

The two guards fall on their faces as blood slowly pooled around them. Albert enters the factory while he swings the blood off his hands.

"Lancelot. How do you feel about spilling human blood?"

"A bit late to ask that isn't it? But I'll humor you. I do not. They are simply lifeforms that have a low ability for survival. Which is why they followed the strong."

"And what of me?"

"You are my master; thus I will follow and protect you."

"And what if I wasn't your master?"

"Hmm… I think I would still follow you if you won against me."

"Heh. Thanks for the compliment, even if my chances of winning are 1 in 10."

"You should be proud. You would win against me without magic, that in of itself is an achievement."

Albert looks at a camera and jumps before punching it off.

"Well watch and enjoy as your master does his job. Fuu~" He sucks in as much air as he could before shouting. "URRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

His voice went through the halls of the factory, it was for several reasons such as intimidation and for making a updated map of the factory.

'It goes deeper? Great. A underground base.'

"How good are your ears?" Mélusine asked.

"Pretty good. If I focus I could hear heartbeats up to a mile or like 1.6 kilometer, maybe a little less."

"I am always in awe at what you can do."

"I can do a lot."

"Like what?"

"Better to list you the things I can't do."

"Such as?"

"… That is a lie, I can do anything if I am given enough time."

"Oh, aren't you Mr. Perfect. Should I call you Lancelot then, huh? Mr. Perfect. Your not saying this to impress me are you?"

"If I wanted to impress you I would do it with my actions. I do not think a woman of your caliber would be satisfied with just words alone."

"Heh~" She smirks. "Have you been thinking of me?"

"If I say yes will you drop this line of questions?"

"Yes I will… probably. You are just fun to tease!"

"Hah…"

Deep within the factory Archer ears twitch.

"… We have a wolf within the base." Archer said hearing the roar. "Blood has been spilled."

"You Servants sure are something." Said Overhaul. "Let the men handle—"

"I will go myself. Our enemies need to know what happens to wolves who enters our territory."

Archer gets up and a red cape flows behind her with military attire dawns on her with golden armored boots.

"Haah…." Overhaul sighs. "I am going to have to patch up some bullet holes. At least wait security to—"

"Alert! Alert! Something has entered the factory! All personal be on the lookout for anything strange! We have no visual! Look around the premises to find an electronic jammer of some sort!"

Albert suit gave off a strong magnetic field that messes with electronics and over time completely breaks them from overexposure.

"Lovely. When all my heavy hitters are back at base." Overhaul looks to find his servant gone. "She didn't even wait before… Hm. Never mind. With her in Japan no one is gonna live through her assault unless they are a Japanese servant."

"Boss should I go help?" said Mimic.

"No. Archer is enough."
