Chapter 151 - Chapter 151 Leisurely Winter Life 17

As the snow continued to fall, Ed's already leisurely life became even more leisurely, even somewhat boring.

In the castle hall

The three of them were idly repeating the same actions in their hands; Adelaide was wiping her teapot, and Carly was playing with the teacups on the table.

Ed was writing something, but it was only from the way the pen slid back and forth on the paper that it was clear he wasn't serious.

Ed put down his pen; since he was so bored, he decided to find something to do.

Yes, he decided to tell a story to cheer everyone up and pass the time.

"Adelaide, Carly, would you like to hear a wonderful story?"

Upon hearing Ed's words, the two quickly put down what they were holding and looked at Ed with expectant faces. Their hopeful expressions made Ed think carefully about what story he could tell to avoid disappointing them.

Ed looked at Carly. "Would you like to hear a longer story or a shorter one?"

Carly thought about it seriously for a moment, then turned to look at Adelaide.

"Let's hear a longer story first!"

Long stories can help pass the time, and Carly's choice is not wrong.

Ed collected his thoughts, picked up the teacup on the table, took a sip, and then cleared his throat.

"Are you sure you want to hear a longer story?"

Carly and Adelaide gave them a look that said, "If you're going to tell us, hurry up and tell us. We've already told you a long story, so let's hear a longer one."

After all this time, you still haven't started? Don't you know they're all eager to hear your story? It's been snowing every day, who knows when it'll stop? Once the snow stops, who's going to listen to your rambling story?

Ed coughed and continued watching Carly and Adelaide.

"Just tell me!" Carly said impatiently.

"Sure?"

"I'm very sure, absolutely sure, I want to hear a long story, a long story." Carly was getting a little impatient.

Ed took a sip of water, then put away his playful mood and began to put on a serious expression.

Once upon a time, there was a bee, buzzing...

"Stop, Lord Eddard, is this your long story?" Carly couldn't take it anymore; it felt like a million bees were buzzing in her ears.

Adelaide was equally surprised, giving Ed a strange look.

Ed looked at the two of them with a serious expression. "Yes, Carly, isn't this story long enough?"

Carly quickly waved her hand, "Lord Ed, this story is indeed long enough, but I still prefer to hear shorter stories."

Carly didn't want to hear the buzzing of bees anymore; it was too irritating.

"Yes, Carly, that's a great choice. I also enjoy telling short stories."

Ed picked up his teacup and took a sip of tea; the story had been too long, and he was a little thirsty.

He cleared his throat again.

"Once upon a time, there was a bee, buzzing, it suddenly crashed into a tree."

"And then?" Carly looked at Ed curiously.

"And that's it!"

"Why?"

He crashed into a tree and died.
