Ed's words were earth-shattering, leaving both girls stunned.
Carly looked at Ed and then at her own masterpiece, silently admiring herself: "Lord Ed, you are truly observant. It really does resemble it somewhat, haha."
Carly quickly rounded the top of the snowdrift.
"Lord Ed, this is actually a sleeping child. Because he is sleeping, you cannot see his face clearly."
"Okay~" That was all Ed could say.
Carly's work may not be visually appealing, but its artistic conception is perfect, and her explanations are impeccable. Therefore, first place truly belongs to Carly.
Carly was so happy she danced around, then looked at Ed with longing eyes, wondering what the special food might be.
"Lord Edd, do you remember what you said earlier?"
Ed glanced at Carly without saying anything, then turned and went to a secluded spot, his back to Carly and Adelaide.
After a while, Ed turned around and covered what he was holding with his clothes.
"Carly, this is your reward."
Carly stared at the square object, unable to react for a long time.
"Carly, this is your reward."
With Ed's reminder, Carly finally accepted the reward silently.
"What is this special food called?" Carly was somewhat disheartened; she really wanted to know what this special food was called.
"ice cream"
"Haha, what a fitting name!" Adelaide next to her couldn't help but applaud.
Carly felt all her good mood vanish; her earlier anticipation had vanished without a trace. "Ice cream, what a boring name, and it's so square and boxy. I might as well just grab a handful of snow and eat it!"
Unfortunately, no one could hear Carly's mutterings. The joyful and heartwarming snowman-building activity came to an end, and the three returned to the castle.
Adelaide rushed to the fireplace to boil water because Ed and Carly were each munching on an ice cream.
"It tastes good, doesn't it, Carly?"
"Yes, Lord Ed, you are absolutely right. Imagine it as an ice cube coated in honey and milk; this ice cream has a truly unique flavor."
Ed taught her the art of self-deception, and she learned it very quickly.
Ed also took an ice cream made from a small twig and licked it a few times with satisfaction.
"Carly, the castle is so warm, you're almost out of ice cream."
"If there's none left, then there's none left. I don't want to eat it anymore." Carly sat down at the long table. Her sister Adelaide was boiling water; she wanted to drink honey flower tea.
Ed also threw away the ice cream; no one was there to eat it with, so it wasn't as fun anymore.
A moment later
A steaming cup of honey flower tea was placed in front of each of the three people.
"Carly, how did you come up with such a perfect idea?" Ed was referring to the snowman Carly had just built.
"Lord Ed, actually, it just came to mind suddenly, you know? It just came to mind suddenly, there was no other way, it's just that magical."
Carly made up a bunch of nonsense; she just couldn't think of anything to pile up.
However, her explanation of her work was perfect; after all, she's a smart kid.
"Really?" Ed looked at Carly, who was talking eloquently, with suspicion.
"Yes, there's no doubt about it. Isn't my idea great?" Carly was delighted; she was truly amazed by her own brilliant idea.
Ed took a sip of tea and looked at the radiant Carly.
He liked this ordinary life; he didn't need to struggle desperately or live up to other people's expectations.
"What a wonderful life!"
