Chapter 19 - Silent breach

There was no war.

No gunfire.

No screams.

No orders.

Just-

Silence.

Containment

Akane sat alone.

His mind racing.

His breathing feels heavy.

Inside sealed room.

White walls.

No windows.

No sound.

No time.

Days passed.

Or maybe hours.

He couldn't tell.

No one spoke to him.

No one checked on him.

Food came through a slot.

Water.

Then nothing.

At first—

It felt wrong.

Too quiet.

But slowly—

His breathing steadied.

His thoughts slowed.

The noise inside him faded.

"…This is… calm."

Becoming Stil

Just—

Existence.

Akane leaned against the wall.

Eyes half-closed.

Not sleeping.

Not awake.

For the first time—

He wasn't reacting.

He was just..existing.

Time passed.

Unmeasured.

Unimportant.

He's been there for so long..

His skills became rougher.

He lost his sense of direction.

After being stuck for months with nothing.

Suddenly his vision flashed.

"What have you became..."

"You've changed badly"

"Your weren't like this before"

"I...was forced too"

"It never was my decision

Then it faded slowly.

Since he lost track of time.

He never realized how long it took.

Suddenly

Darkness.

The lights went out.

Instant.

Total darkness.

At first he waited long.

stared blankly in nothing.

Slowly.

Silence changed.

Not calm anymore.

Empty.

"Power failure?"

A faint sound followed.

Distant.

Metal shifting.

Then—

Nothing again.

Akane slowly stood.

It was hard to navigate through.

Placed his hand against in the wall.

After mapping the room he discovered the gate.

He pushed.

Nothing.

He pushed again.

Harder.

The door creaked.

Slightly.

Akane paused.

Touched it.

Then—

He pushed harder.

CRACK.

The frame bent.

Another push—

BREAK.

The door gave way.

A small opening had appeared.

He crawled out the corridor.

Dark.

Emergency lights flickering.

Red.

Low.

The hallway stretched endlessly.

Empty.

Too empty.

"No personnel"

That wasn't normal.

Akane moved forward.

Controlled.

Every step echoed.

Too loud.

He adjusted.

Moved softer.

Something felt..off.

He passed another room.

Door open.

Inside—

No one.

Another.

Same.

"Evacuated?"

No.

There were signs.

Subtle.

A smear on the wall.

Dark.

Dried.

A dropped tool.

Bent.

Marks.

On the floor.

Dragged.

Akane stopped.

Looked down.

He kept walking.

He saw blood stains.

A noise.

Faint.

Ahead.

Not mechanical.

Wet.

Akane didn't react immediately.

Just listened.

It stopped.

Then—

Something shifted in the darkness.

It stepped forward.

Slow.

A figure stood at the end of the corridor.

Still.

Unmoving.

"Identify," Akane said quietly.

No response.

Akane prepared for combat.

The figure tilted its head.

Slightly.

Wrong.

"Infected?" Akane said to himself.

It didn't charge.

Didn't move.

It just—

Watched.

Then turned.

And walked away.

Akane stood there.

Silent.

" that's not normal."

The Truth ⚠️

He moved faster now.

Still quiet.

Still controlled.

Turning a corner—

He stopped.

The corridor ahead—

Was open.

Broken.

A breach.

Metal torn apart.

Walls damaged.

And beyond it—

Darkness deeper than the station.

Akane stepped closer.

Looked at the damage.

"External force."

Then—

A realization.

" The containment had failed."

Akane stood alone in the broken sector.

No alarms.

No warning.

No system left to tell him.

Only silence.

And something else.

Watching.

From deeper inside Nexarion.

He didn't know when it started.

Didn't know how far it spread.

But one thing was clear—

He wasn't contained anymore.

And neither was it.
