CHAPTER 2
Morning light hit my face, spreading across my room.
I opened my eyes immediately.
I sat up and looked at the table beside my bed.
The book was still there.
"The Supreme Magic One."
I stood up and walked toward it without hesitation. My hand reached for the book, and I picked it up carefully. The cover felt cold, different from last night.
I opened it.
The letters were scrambled again.
Strange symbols covered the pages, moving slightly as if they were alive.
I leaned closer.
The symbols began to twist and shift. Lines bent, shapes connected, and slowly, the letters started forming something I could read.
Then—
A single word appeared.
"Proceed."
I turned the page.
At the top, a title appeared clearly.
"The Supreme"
I continued reading.
"The Supreme One was a man with a black cloak, lined with gold at its center, holding a book that only the worthy could hold."
I held the book tighter
"Thousands of monsters escaped through realm after realm. Every planet faced a universal force strong enough to destroy worlds."
"Every lifeform tried to fight the universal force. Even the strongest warriors across planets were not enough."
I turned the page slowly.
"All planets, all life believed it was the end."
"The Supreme One was born to save the life of the universe."
The words stayed clear.
"The Supreme One was so powerful that even the universal force could not touch him."
"A single flame in his hand was enough to burn them all."
"But the universal force was intelligent."
"It combined itself to create a being capable of opposing The Supreme One."
The next line appeared darker.
"They named it… The Opposing One."
The air in the room felt heavier
"The universal force sacrificed itself entirely to create The Opposing One."
I turned the page.
"When the day came, the Supreme One and the Opposing One clashed."
"The universe shook."
"Every strike carried enough force to destroy planets."
"But the Supreme One protected all life."
Another page.
"The Supreme One and the Opposing One fought again."
"The Supreme One… lost."
My hands stopped for a moment before moving again.
"He lost because he used his power to protect all existence."
I turned the page.
"There is a planet called Earth."
"The life of the universe declared…"
"The next Supreme One will appear there."
The letters suddenly changed.
They twisted, broke apart, and reformed into unstable shapes.
"ANd WhOeVeR ReAdS ThIs…"
The text flickered.
"WiLl BeCoMe…"
"ThE NeXt…"
The letters stretched unnaturally.
"THE SUPREME ONE."
Silence filled my room.
I closed the book.
I placed it on the table and stepped back.
After a few seconds, I turned toward the television and grabbed the remote.
I turned it on.
"THIS IS 24 WITNESS NEWS."
A reporter appeared on the screen, standing in front of a chaotic scene.
"We are receiving multiple reports of unknown creatures appearing across several locations."
The footage showed large, dark openings in the air.
"These massive cold portals have suddenly formed without warning."
People were running.
Buildings were damaged.
"Scientists have begun investigating the phenomenon."
The reporter continued.
"The phenomenon has officially been named 'Portal.'"
The camera shifted.
A large tear in space hovered above the ground, glowing faintly.
Something moved inside it.
"Authorities are urging everyone to remain indoors."
I lowered the remote slowly.
I turned my head toward the book.
The room stayed quiet except for the TV.
I walked back to the table and grabbed the book again.
The cover felt colder than before.
I opened it.
The letters scrambled immediately.
Faster than before.
More chaotic.
I stared at the page.
The symbols moved rapidly, but they did not form words.
I flipped to another page.
The same thing happened.
Every page—
Scrambled and Unreadable.
The television continued behind me.
"More portals are appearing worldwide."
Sirens echoed through the broadcast.
"Emergency response teams are being deployed."
I closed the book slowly.
I looked at the cover.
"The Supreme Magic One."
The noise from the TV grew louder.
Voices.
Sirens.
Chaos.
I stood still in the middle of my room.
The book remained in my hands.
Outside, something had already begun.
And inside—
It had already started.
