Mina stared at the glowing water of the Well of Ancients. Then she looked at the cane pointed at her heart. She gasped. The air in the canyon smelled like copper and something sweet.

Mina looked at Elara. Her sisters skin was almost see-through. The glowing thing in her tummy was like a sun.
"Elara... I am sorry " Mina whispered.
She didn't put her spear in her chest. Instead she did something nobody expected. She held Elaras hand. Jumped into the blue water.

The water didn't feel like liquid. It felt like a million needles. Mina didn't try to save herself. She put her special energy into Elaras wounds.

Mina and Elara were thrown onto the ground. Mina was breathing hard. Her silver hair was now black at the tips. She felt empty. Her special spark was gone.. She was alive.
Elara sat up. Her skin was no longer pale. It was a brown. Her eyes were calm and violet.. Her right arm was different. It was made of glowing moonlight.

"You survived " Lucian said, his voice tight. He looked at Elaras arm. "You cheated the Well."
Elara stood up. She didn't need Minas help. She walked toward Lucian. Each step made a footprint.
"The debt is not paid Lucian " Elara said, her voice scary. ". The terms have changed. You wanted a monster? You got one.. This monster has a pack."
She pointed at the South. "Kaelen is coming.. He thinks he is hunting a human. Tell him... Tell him the Healer of the Abyss is waiting for him.. Tell him to bring enough coffins for his entire army."
