Elara said to Mina "The scouts are already here." Her voice sounded rough like stones rubbing against each other under water.
Mina didn't need to be told. Her black hair was standing on end as she held her spear tight. She could feel the area around the canyon like it was a part of her body.
Mina whispered, "There're twelve of them. They're from the South. They're circling the ridge. They saw the explosion."
On the ridge Commander Harl was looking through his scanner . He was a veteran of Alpha Kaelens guard. He thought he would see a hole and two dead bodies.. Instead he saw a garden of trees with silver leaves and a woman who looked like she came from an old story.
Harl said to himself "The human woman is standing.. The girl with no wolf her power is very strong. I need to ask for permission to attack and take the woman."
Kaelens voice came back "No don't attack the woman. Kill the sister. Bring me the womans head if you must. Make sure her body is not hurt."
Harl signaled his men. Six big wolves jumped out from the cliffs their claws out. Tried to attack Mina from behind.
Mina didn't even turn around.

A shiny silver light appeared around the sisters like a dome. The wolves hit the light. Bounced back like they had hit a hard mountain.
Elara said, "Now it's my turn."
She came out from behind the shield. She didn't turn into a wolf. She just raised her arm that had starlight in it. Pointed at the lead wolf.

A beam of energy came out of her finger. It didn't just hurt the wolf it took the wolf apart. The wolfs fur, flesh and bones turned into energy that went into Elaras hand.

The other wolves stopped moving. They had seen strong wolves kill. They had never seen a human take apart a wolf like that.
Harl screamed from the ridge "What are you?"
Elara looked up at him her eyes shining with stars. "I am the debt you forgot to pay " she said.
She closed her fist. The black glass under the wolves feet broke into a thousand pieces that went up and pinned the scouts to the canyon walls. They were'nt dead Elara had made sure to pin them in a way that wouldn't kill them. She wanted them to see her power.
Elara said, "Go to Kaelen and tell him that the South now belongs to the Eclipse.. Tell him if he wants his Heir he can come and try to take it from my dead hands."
As the last scout ran away in fear Mina put down her spear. She looked at Elara with an expression. "We cannot stay here Elara. Kaelen will bring his army now."
Elara said, "I know, but we're not running away anymore. We're building and getting stronger as sisters.
