Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - Departure and Goodbye

Silas dressed normally for the first time he came to this world. He had already enjoyed the wealth and stayed like a lazy bum.

Now, for that time to last long, he needed to do some adventure. He needed to plot and plan for invasion.

He gave a heavy sigh.

Such is my life.

His mind was mid twenties and yet, he was feeling like an old man. After dismissing the maid, he went to his bed.

He had laid down his things neatly. He grabbed his sword and placed it beside his side. As for the wealth his mother gave, he also hid in his body.

And finally, there was a gift from his sister, Azaria. A pendant. It was a simple pendant. There was no flashy gem.

But he felt an intense amount of pressure from the pendant. A lot of wind inside.

He grabbed the pendant and smiled.

She can be a good sister.

He wore the pendant and left his room. He arrived outside the house through the main door.

The two servants opened the door for him.

He saw his mother and father waiting for him. He bowed at them and said goodbye.

"20." Elowen commented.

Silas flinched. "Your rating is too harsh, mom? Which parameters do you use in rating?"

"My heart, obviously." Elowen smiled.

Silas sighed. "I see."

He then entered inside the carriage.

"Son." His father called.

Silas turned and waited.

"This is your home." Direth said. "If anything troubles you, state your name. I will solve everything."

Silas smiled. "Thanks. But I don't think I will need that."

I hope I will not get into such trouble. After all, it is simply a treasure hunt.

He closed the door to the carriage and noticed a few people inside.

His butler, Old Gin and his personal guard, Roland, were waiting. Roland was dressed in knight style, armed with sword and body suit fitted for knight.

"Aren't you hot inside that ridiculous armor?" Silas frowned.

Roland smiled. "Don't worry, the mage etched temperature changing magecraft inside. I felt like I was in the rain."

"I see." Silas said flatly.

There were two carriages for his journey. The carriages were in quality, wearing the symbol of Viremont, MildViper. Silas stared at the symbol and sighed.

Lately, he had been sighing a lot.

"Where should we go?" The old butler Gin asked.

"For now, let's see the town first. We need to buy food and stuff." Silas said.

"I understand, young master." Old Gin nodded and tapped lightly at the wall behind him. The window opened and he said to the handler.

"Town please. We will rest at a suitable inn." Old Gin glanced at Silas.

Silas nodded. It was fine. He was not in a hurry for his adventure. His treasure can wait. With that the carriage left Viremont House and entered Raisin Town.

Raisin Town was the biggest and most important town in Viremont state. It was also the most influential because it was also managed by many merchant guilds as their base.

According to his knowledge, there was also a small influence of the underworld. Silas was the most excited for that.

The underworld was his natural habitat before the transmigration. Silas silently watched the scene from the window.

The house of Viremont was a bit away from Raisin. It only took about an hour to reach the town. On the gate, his butler presented the identification to the guards which let them in without a word.

After that, the carriage made a stop at an inn. The inn sign read Host and Drink inn.

Silas nodded and took out a gold coin from his pocket and threw it to the butler. "Make an arrangement. And come to my room after that, I will give you the remaining allowance."

The old butler nodded and went inside the inn.

Silas looked at Roland and said, "You as well. Before we leave this town, we need one task."

"Okay." Roland said.

Then the old butler came back with another man who guided the two carriages to the tent. Silas stepped down from the carriage and entered inside the inn.

Maybe because the sun was still high in the sky, there were a few people inside, enjoying the drink. Silas ignored those people and walked directly to the counter.

The bartender was an old man with grey hair. He was much bigger than Old Gin. Silas could see him being a strong person during youth.

The bartender was cleaning the glass with a white cloth while instructing a young woman about his job. The young woman was petite. Her black hair was tied neatly into a ponytail.

But her bang covered her forehead and eyes. Whether it was done intentionally or not, Silas didn't know.

Seeing that he was not being noticed, Silas took out a copper coin and tapped loudly on the table, getting the bartender's attention.

"I want a drink. Ice cold. It doesn't matter what it is. Just make it ice cold. I trust you." Silas said and turned to Roland who followed behind him. "What do you want?"

"Hmm..Hot Milk. I am getting cold."

Silis rolled his eyes. "You know, you can adjust the temperature right?" He pointed at the armor.

"Only a mage can do that apparently. Every time I adjust the temperature, I mess up. My mana control is not that good." Roland smiled. "So I am thinking of going to the mage guild and asking for their help."

Silas sighed. "Come here."

Roland followed his command. Silas waved his hands, gathering mana from the air, heeding them to his will. He then ingested the mana into the armor and controlled the magecraft inside.

"Hot or cold." Silas gave the knight a choice.

"Warm. I like it warm."

Silas adjusted the temperature according to his definition of warm.

"How is it?" He asked.

Roland moved around, nodded and smiled with a beam. "Nice."

Silas shook his head and turned his head to the bartender, thinking about watching their art of making a drink. He wanted to see their technique compared to Earth.

But his eyes met the gazes of the young woman, staring at him. Her eyes told that she was stunned by him.

Silas tilted his head and snapped his finger. "What are you staring at? Don't you know it is rude. Careful, beautiful."

He was born in a slum. At a young age, he learned how to avoid gaze. He knew how a person can change just because of a glance.

Because she was a girl working here, she needed to learn how not to stare at people. Otherwise, she would attract creeps.

"Ahh. Ahh…"

The bartender came and placed drinks for the two men. He then sent her away to the back.

"I am sorry for that. She is still learning."

Silas picked up the drink and nodded in satisfaction. There was about 2 percent of alcohol in it. How did he achieve that?

"Train her well. And teach her the danger of a drunk man." Silas warned from the bottom of his heart.

"Haha. Thanks for your kind heart." The old bartender chuckled and paused for an effect. "But don't worry, she is a capable mage before a capable bartender. She can fend those fools with a wave of her hand."

"Oh.." Silas twirled his drink with mana and eyes at the old bartender. Based on his knowledge about the game, this old man should be him.

"What is your name, old man?" He asked for confirmation.
