Aarav stood up slowly.
"No," he said firmly. "Something doesn't make sense."
Ananya frowned.
"What?"
"The evidence," he continued. "The money transfers. The photos. Everything."
Her expression changed.
"I told you it wasn't real."
"And I didn't believe you," he admitted.
Silence.
"I investigated," Aarav said."And I found something."
Ananya's heartbeat quickened.
"What?"
"Those documents were forged."
Her eyes widened.
"What?"
Aarav stepped closer.
"My former business partner… Raghav Malhotra."
The name sent a chill down her spine.
"He manipulated everything," Aarav continued."He wanted my company… and he used you to break me."
Ananya's legs felt weak.
"So… all this time…"
"Yes," Aarav said.
"I destroyed us… because I trusted the wrong person."
Tears rolled down her cheeks.
