Chapter 181 - 181

"No…"

"Not convenient?" Thor's eyes widened.

"I'm not really sure."

Fenris rubbed his chin and thought for a moment.

"Magic isn't omnipotent. If that Sorcerer Supreme you mentioned came here, maybe it would work. My level…"

Fenris hesitated, then blinked. "Might not be enough."

Fenris's single sentence took three turns, and Thor's emotions rose and fell along with it. "Why?"

"Asgard isn't somewhere you can just casually stroll into. That entire floating continent is protected by an energy barrier guarding the palace."

Fenris spread his hands, implying that he might be powerless. "Besides, it was the All-Father's will to exile you. As a small, ordinary Earthling, it would be improper for me to openly defy his will, wouldn't it?"

"…"

Fenris's words were reasonable and well-founded. Hearing them, even Thor fell silent at once. The hope that had just ignited in his heart was doused cleanly by a bucket of cold water. "Am I really going to have to stay in this barbaric place forever?"

"You're the barbaric one. Your whole family lives in a barbaric place," Wanda muttered softly behind Fenris. Emma laughed and rubbed her head.

"Wizard, no matter what, I hope you can help me."

Thor abruptly raised his head and looked at Fenris with earnest eyes. "I have to see my father. There are things I must say to him in person."

"This…"

Seeing that Fenris was still hesitating, Thor hurriedly interrupted him. "Please, wizard."

After arriving in this place, it had not been easy for him to meet someone willing to believe him. This person also happened to possess an ability that might help him. Such a chance was practically impossible to find.

At this moment, Thor had completely taken Fenris as his lifeline and was desperately trying to grab hold of him. "Thank you, wizard. You have the gratitude of Thor, God of Thunder."

"This… fine."

Since things had been said to this point, Fenris could not bring himself to refuse again. After sighing with visible reluctance, he slowly took out his Sling Ring, slipped it onto his hand, and walked up to Thor. "Thor, let me make this clear first. My abilities are limited. I may not necessarily be able to send you back under the All-Father's nose."

"That's all right. Just do your best."

Seeing that Fenris was willing to help, Thor nodded repeatedly and patted his own chest. "No matter the result, I will accept it."

"Good."

Fenris waved his hand, gesturing for Wanda and Emma to return to the car. Then he glanced at Jane and the other two, who were standing nearby like petrified statues. He did not drive them away, and the three of them tactfully retreated dozens of meters.

"Wizard, gods, Odin…"

Darcy poked Jane in the waist. "Do you believe it?"

"I'm starting to…" The conversation between the two men had fallen into Erik's ears. He blinked his dry eyes, feeling as if the astrophysics he had studied for decades might have all been for nothing.

"I only believe in my science."

Jane took out her spatial data detector and silently aimed it at the two men in the distance.

The young man called a wizard took a deep breath. After putting on that ancient-looking ring, he reached his right hand forward, as though sensing something.

Jane stared unblinkingly at the changing data on the screen. But several minutes passed, and there was not the slightest reaction from the instrument.

"I told you he was a fraud!" Darcy clicked her tongue.

In front of Fenris, Thor swallowed nervously at the thought that he would soon be able to go home. He reached out and nudged him. "You can do it, wizard."

"Don't touch me. Shut up!"

Fenris's consciousness had already followed the remnants of Bifrost energy lingering in this place and soared upward, using that vague perception to locate Asgard.

He had long since passed the stage where he needed a photograph to open a dimensional portal. Wherever his will reached, he could basically arrive at ordinary places with ease.

However, Asgard brought Fenris immense pressure. After all, the Nine Realms were located within Yggdrasil. Aside from Midgard, Earth, whose position did not change much, the other realms were constantly moving through Yggdrasil. Locating them was as difficult as finding a needle in the ocean, and it far exceeded Fenris's limits.

A long while passed. Just as Thor had nearly stared himself blind with anticipation, and Jane's group had almost lost patience, Fenris's eyes suddenly snapped open.

As if someone had deliberately placed it before him, a magnificent space abruptly surged into Fenris's perception.

"Someone is helping me?"

Fenris was instantly alarmed. After realizing something was wrong, he almost instinctively withdrew the Sling Ring, intending to stop casting.

However, it was already too late. The instant his right hand fell, the space before Fenris and Thor suddenly rippled. Bright golden sparks burst outward, and in the next moment, a massive ring of fire unfolded on its own.

The once-stable space seemed to have been torn apart. At that moment, the dimensional portal drew two distinct boundaries between the two sides.

A brilliant golden divine light shone from the other side of the portal. In an instant, the world on Earth, which had originally been sunk in darkness, suddenly became dazzling, like the rising sun, filled with sacred radiance.

"Beep! Beep! Beep!"

Not far away, the instrument in Jane's hand suddenly began emitting a sharp warning without any sign. On the screen, intense spatial fluctuations were clearly displayed ahead.

"Jane…"

The scene before her was abruptly illuminated by divine light. Darcy stared unblinkingly at the huge yellow portal and swallowed with difficulty. "I… I think I just saw God…"

"That should be the All-Father…"

Jane quietly corrected her, her throat dry.

In a single night, the worldview she had spent so long building had completely collapsed.

A strong man she had accidentally hit was the God of Thunder from fairy tales. The God of Thunder had met a human wizard friend, and that friend had summoned the God-King Odin right before their eyes?

"Heavens…"

As the divine light gradually faded and the world was once again enveloped by the dim night, Fenris had never imagined that Asgard's powerful defensive barrier would be opened by him so easily.

At the border where the two spaces met, countless intricate runes were silently flickering, brightening and dimming.

"Runes…"

Fenris's heart gave a violent jump. Aside from the Ancient One, he simply could not imagine anyone else who could shake this layer of defense.

And for him to open it so easily, unless…

"Cough!"

A slightly frail cough reached his ears. Fenris abruptly raised his head. What entered his vision was an extremely towering golden palace.

In the deepest part of the palace, a massive throne gleaming with golden light stood silently. An old man with white hair and an eye patch sat quietly upon the throne, holding a sharp spear in his hand.

"Father?"

The moment Thor saw Odin, his eyes immediately lit up. Without concealing the excitement in his heart, he called out loudly.

"Silence!"

Odin shouted, and Thor immediately went quiet.

"Fenris."

Fenris heard Odin, seated on the throne, suddenly change the subject and softly speak his name.

"Huh?"

"You know me?"
