Chapter 182 - 182

"Father, are you still angry with me?"

Seeing Odin, seated upon the throne, sternly rebuke him, Thor could not help speaking again. "Father, I truly know I was wrong. Please, give me a chance to change!"

"I won't attack Jotunheim again. I'll listen to everything you say, all right?"

"Father…"

Thor's proud head lowered. Upon the throne, Odin looked at this youngster of more than fifteen hundred years, tears shining in his eyes as he looked back at him. Odin closed his eyes and let out a soft sigh.

"Thor, you do not know that you were wrong. You only know that you are afraid."

"What?"

Thor froze on the spot. He had not expected to receive such an answer.

Looking at his father, now wrapped in divine light and seeming so unfamiliar, his eyes widened blankly, and for a moment, he forgot how to speak.

"Sigh."

Odin sighed softly and looked away in disappointment. When his peripheral vision caught Jane and the other two not far away, still holding up an instrument and staring in their direction, Gungnir in his palm trembled lightly. A gentle radiance spilled out, concealing all the abnormalities here.

"Fenris!"

The figures of Fenris, Thor, and Odin silently disappeared. Inside the car, Wanda's lively eyes suddenly widened. She shot to her feet and was about to rush toward the place where Fenris had been standing.

Seeing this, Emma immediately reached out and stopped Wanda.

"What are you doing?" Wanda turned back in displeasure.

"That is the legendary King of the Gods. I should be the one asking you what you intend to do."

After Odin appeared, the scene of divine light filling the sky and that dazzling golden throne had left Emma standing there in shock for quite a while. But in the end, she recovered quickly enough.

After all, she had joined the Brotherhood years ago. Following Magneto, she had seen no shortage of these so-called grand spectacles. To ordinary people on Earth, Magneto was no different from a god.

"Wanda, don't be impulsive. The All-Father has no malice toward Fenris."

Emma held back the impulsive Wanda. Only when she saw the scarlet in Wanda's eyes gradually fade did she let go.

Wanda snorted coldly, still staring fixedly at that place. "Hmph!"

"Midgard truly is a land of miracles. This place never seems to lack those with true potential, or the truly powerful."

Dense runes flew out and formed a massive barrier. Odin withdrew his gaze from Wanda across the distance, then turned to Fenris, who was constantly looking around. "She is one. So are you."

"Fenris."

"Me?"

Odin's slightly weak voice reached his ears, and Fenris silently raised his head.

Inside the magnificent golden palace, upon the high throne, Odin held the divine artifact Gungnir and lowered his gaze with an unreadable expression.

"I have known Earth's guardian, the Sorcerer Supreme, for a very long time. She mentioned you to me more than once. I never expected that I would only truly meet you today."

Looking at Fenris's young face, Odin smiled faintly and said with deep emotion, "Time passes so quickly. In the blink of an eye, several thousand years should already have gone by."

"Several thousand years?!"

That brief sentence from Odin contained no small amount of information. Fenris blinked, somewhat unable to believe his own ears.

How old was the Ancient One? She had actually known Odin for that long?

But after thinking about it, when such absurd things happened to those two, they did not seem particularly unreasonable.

"I have long heard of the God-King's name. It is also an honor to meet you." After thinking for a moment, Fenris replied cautiously.

"Hahahaha!"

Odin suddenly burst into loud laughter. A long while later, the laughter subsided. His single eye looked at Fenris, and a gentle smile appeared on his face. "You are powerful, and your potential is boundless. When the Ancient One told me before, I did not quite believe her. But now that I have seen you with my own eyes, I know her words were true."

"I can sense those several powerful strands of divine power within you. If you can fully master any one of them, you may even easily surpass the achievements I have attained."

Odin nodded in satisfaction, increasingly feeling Midgard's wonder. This miraculous place had nurtured countless powerful beings. As the center of the universe and Yggdrasil, it drew the attention of the entire cosmos, yet unlike Asgard, it did not have to face an apocalyptic disaster like Ragnarok.

"Sigh."

Odin silently shook his head.

"Father, this wizard—no, you actually think so highly of him?"

After hearing Odin's words, Thor's already depressed mood was ignited on the spot. Looking at the utterly ordinary young man beside him, he pointed at him with disbelief written all over his face. "I have fought for you and for Asgard for so many years, always proud of my identity as the son of Odin, yet even I have never received such high praise from you!"

The God-King's recognition was no empty title. In Asgard, any ordinary Asgardian could truly soar overnight with a single sentence like that.

"Set aside your arrogance, Thor. You have always only been yourself."

Odin looked at Thor, who was still impulsive and immature, and reprimanded him in dissatisfaction. "The title of Odin's son brings you not only glory, but also the responsibility of a king. And that glory cannot make every Asgardian trust you from the bottom of their hearts."

"No! That isn't…"

Seeing that Thor still wanted to say something, Odin simply turned his head away and waved his hand. Thor immediately clawed at the air and gestured wildly, but he could no longer make a single sound.

"I have made you witness something embarrassing, Fenris."

Fenris shook his head, indicating that he was enjoying the show very much.

"Thor has already been stripped of his status as prince by me and exiled from Asgard. Now he is merely an ordinary person. In Midgard, he needs to see clearly who he truly is."

Odin's blunt words rang out, and Thor's face instantly turned ashen. He stood there blankly, then his legs went weak, and he dropped to his knees with a thud.

Odin turned a blind eye to this and continued speaking to Fenris. "Fenris, I hope you will give me face and not lend him aid. Let him experience all of this himself."

"This is not a request from Odin, the God-King, but the most sincere hope of a father."

Only after hearing this did Thor understand that his father was determined not to let him return to Asgard. His face was deathly pale.

But Fenris knew how to read between the lines. Looking at Odin's calm expression, he almost laughed out loud.

He nodded and answered seriously, "I understand. Please rest assured."

"That is good."

Odin glanced at Thor, who was immersed in his own world and so grief-stricken that he could not pull himself out of it. Then he looked at the tall, spirited Fenris and sighed helplessly.

The golden Gungnir in his hand lightly tapped the floor, producing a distant, resonant sound. "As one of the juniors I admire most, although this is our first meeting, I cannot be too stingy."

"Fenris, I now grant you Odin's blessing. I hope that one day, it will be of help to you."
