Raina's face paled as she watched Anderson flip the pages of the contract.
"Here." Rebecca pointed to a clause on page seven. "It might be insignificant, but it is strong enough to bleed Vance Empire dry."
Anderson's eyes narrowed as he studied the clause intensely. In just a few seconds, he noticed what Rebecca was saying.
His expression turned icy as he looked at Raina whose eyes had turned glassy.
"Did you notice this?" He asked calmly. "You were the one who brought in this deal, and urged the company to sign it."
Raina shook her head. "Mr Vance... I don't... I'm clueless." Her words came out with a stutter.
A chill settled over Anderson's features. She was lying to him even at this point.
"Was this your plan?" Rebecca stepped in, her eyes boring into Raina's skin. "Was it intentional?"
"Shut up!" Raina snapped. "What do you know? I said I wasn't aware of this clause."
As she denied, her eyes darted around, unable to meet Anderson's eyes.
