Lucan and the leader slime both sat down, gazing at the golden butterfly. Suddenly, it flew towards Lucan, and his surroundings changed. He was inside the white room.
The same paper was in front of him. The golden-yellow letters transformed into:
''Lucan! Help me decide!''
The letters disappeared as soon as he finished reading them.
He smirked. A pen appeared in his hand, and he started to write on the paper, after which he kept it back in the same place where it had been before.
He left the white room. The leader slime asked, ''What happened?''
Lucan gently smiled at him as he replied, ''Nothing much! It asked me to help it make a decision!''
''And what did you say? Are you doing it?'' the leader slime asked excitedly. His eyes glowed as they constantly blinked while facing the golden butterfly.
His ears were itching to hear Lucan's words. He kept his finger on his mouth as he grinned, ''Hehe! Well, it's a secret!''
The leader slime felt even more excitement surge through him. He was unable to sit down and started walking around with his hands tied behind his back.
He thought, ''Secret! What secret is he hiding? Damn, now I can't wait to find it out!''
His gaze shifted towards Lucan. Lucan simply smiled at him as he pointed towards the golden butterfly.
It chose him!
It flew at a faster speed, winds rushing past its golden wings. Its flapping made one's consciousness seem to fade away.
Golden fragments fell off the butterfly, and the trail resembled bright silk with a smooth and polished texture.
As it landed on Lucan, it tightly grabbed his fingers, refusing to look back. Its group flew behind it, arriving in front of Lucan. They formed a symbol using their wings and golden fragments.
The symbol resembled a message:
''Goodbye! We will miss you!''
Lucan patted the butterfly as he pointed towards their goodbye message. The butterfly gently turned around to look at it.
Lucan was once again pulled into the white room. In front of him was the same paper. Before it could write something, Lucan grabbed the pen and wrote:
''I know! You want to spend a little more time with them one last time. Go ahead! Hehe! I will be waiting!''
As he placed the pen down, he instantly left the white room.
The butterfly flew towards its group while Lucan walked towards the exit as he spoke, ''Come, let's go!''
The leader slime asked, ''But! What about the golden butterfly? Whom did it choose? You or them?''
Lucan replied, ''Hehe! Have some patience. Come on, let's go, or do you want to spend your eternity here?''
They both walked away.
When they left the headquarters, good news eventually reached them: Blue guy had survived.
Lucan and the leader slime immediately went there.
Seeing him still unconscious, and after understanding the situation, the leader slime sighed.
''Don't worry, Lucan! We can somehow fix—''
Lucan walked in and touched blue guy.
He reversed time on the injuries, causing them to disappear. Blue guy woke up, looking confused. Since time had been reversed, he had forgotten the incident.
He asked, ''Lucan! Why are you here? Where is our spaceship? Where are the others?...''
''Stop! Huh, it's a long story. Go meet the crew, they will enlighten you!''
He rushed out.
Pink girl was crying with her eyes closed. Blue guy patted her as he asked, ''What happened? Why are you crying?''
She pushed aside his hand as she shouted, ''Get lost! I will only speak when blue guy walks out!''
He thought, ''What the heck? Am I not blue guy?''
He looked at himself and checked himself before replying, ''I am blue guy!''
She looked at him, suddenly becoming shocked. She snorted, ''Wait! I will check and verify it myself, or else how could I know if you are tricking me just to comfort me?''
He nodded in agreement.
After verifying him, she screamed in joy, ''Blue guy! You are completely intact, thank God!''
Lucan walked past him and said to pink girl, ''Hmm! Although I healed him as instructed, he still forgot everything. Just explain the long story to him!''
She held his hands as she gushed, ''Thank you! Thank you, captain! I will never forget this help for my entire lifetime!''
Lucan grinned as he walked away.
He saw fate guy and said, ''Huh! Learn this, this one is very important. Ask everybody here to teach you!''
He nodded as he asked, ''What should I learn?''
''COMMON SENSE!'' Lucan replied with a deep frown.
Fate guy rushed towards the crew and shouted, ''All of you! Teach me common sense!''
Lucan's jaw dropped as he thought, ''Is he acting, or is he actually dumb? Damn this guy, ugh!''
He could only sigh helplessly.
He walked towards the spaceship that was being built for him. It was bigger than the previous one. It had two sharp wings made of platinum.
A hard glass windshield and an automated system were also being built inside. It was designed to ensure the spaceship could function entirely on its own without needing any help.
Lucan asked, ''Excuse me! I have one single doubt. Why do I need such a large spaceship just for myself?''
The slime replied, ''Master Lucan! It is because this spaceship can change its size accordingly. If you want it bigger, you can increase the size.
Or else, you can decrease the size if you want a smaller one!''
Lucan was astonished by this level of technology. He wondered:
''If Earth had this, I would have easily avoided many alien encounters and dangers.
My progress would have been much better! Hehe!''
After everyone calmed down, he met his crew.
He said, ''Guys! This is where we part ways! It was fun travelling with you all! Hehe!''
Blue guy shouted, ''Did I hear that wrong, Lucan?''
Lucan nodded as he added, ''I am serious!''
Fate guy said, ''No! Please, we won't make any more mistakes! Take us with you!''
Pink girl also added, ''Yes! Lucan! Don't leave us!''
Lucan waved his hand. The leader slime understood immediately and ordered, ''All of you! Come out. Let Lucan discuss things with his crew!''
Soon, only Lucan and his crew were left alone.
Lucan stated, ''Then! Is anyone among you willing to leave the Milky Way Galaxy? And even go beyond our universe? Answer me!''
Fate guy replied, ''Why, Lucan? Isn't the Milky Way fun? What else do we want? Why should we leave?''
Pink girl also added, ''Yep! The Milky Way is our home! Why should we leave our home?''
Lucan disagreed.
The two became more hesitant and were about to speak, but blue guy interrupted:
''Okay! So what if we choose to leave the Milky Way? Hehe!''
Lucan was stunned for a moment before laughing.
''Blue guy! Damn you, huh! I never expected you would agree to leave!''
Pink girl gasped.
''Blue guy! Are you serious!?''
For a moment, silence filled the area.
Blue guy laughed as he replied, ''Nah! I just checked whether Lucan was speaking the truth! Don't worry, I will never leave!''
Pink girl hugged him happily.
Lucan spoke, ''Hmm! We are not here for romance or drama! Just a reminder!''
Both of them blushed at the same time.
Lucan stood up as he spoke, ''Well! There it goes! Bye. After my spaceship is built, I am leaving, guys! Hehe!''
Pink girl asked, ''I know it's for your goal! But how will you be able to leave your home?''
He laughed as he replied, ''Oh! I already left Earth, my planet, my mom, dad, and sister! I am already very far away from all of them!''
Pink girl asked softly, ''How are you... not hurt? Not feeling pain?''
Lucan sighed.
''I do feel it! But I simply hold it back! Whenever I feel hurt, one thought appears in my mind.
What is at the end of space?
Oh, Lucan! Find it! At least try to find it!
And then I overcome my emotions and continue charging ahead!
Everything has a price to pay. How can I avoid making sacrifices to reach my goal? Hehe! If it were that easy, why would I choose to leave my parents, sister, and Earth behind!?''
Fate guy spoke seriously:
''Lucan! Wait, hear me out. Let me come with you. I am firm in my decision!''
