Chapter 86 - || CHAPTER 86:The Nickname Lu ||

Fate guy gently smiled, "Yeah, this is how Lucan acts, it makes sense!"

The entire place was filled with strange things. The ground was dark green, with a rocky terrain.

A lot of bones were present; they were of different sizes and shapes.

Lucan took a skull—it was similar to Fate guy's head—and Lucan put it over his head.

He grinned, "Fate guy! Wear this, it looks good on you, let's make you famous!"

Fate guy sighed, "Lucan? Have you hit your head? You wouldn't speak like this!"

Lucan went silent before saying, "Yes, it is because of... nothing! Hehe!"

Fate guy threw it off as he said, "Looks like you went insane, sigh!"

Lucan thought, "Fate guy, this is one of the places from your memories! These memories of yours are the main reason why I recruited you at first!

They are priceless intel! It would make a great fortune selling them.

Hehe, but only after I personally explore and reap the benefits of them! And you can't know about your memories...

Your past... your clan... Holy moly! I should be careful from now on, whenever I try to speak."

Fate guy was exploring ahead without knowing about any of this.

Soon they reached a bottomless valley. Fate guy gulped down saliva as he said, "Lucan, should we take a turn?"

Lucan shook his head, "See, the golden butterflies flew off easily. We can also fly using cosmic energy."

Fate guy replied, "I can't! You can use cosmic energy for multiple purposes, but I am not like you! I have no golden butterfly who will help me!"

Lucan grinned, "Help, huh? But it does more than help! To me! Hehe."

Lucan instantly teleported himself to the other side. Fate guy was dumbstruck, "Didn't you say you can fly?"

Lucan laughed, "Teleportation is easier, right?"

Fate guy nodded, "Okay, now teleport me!"

Lucan shook his head, "You wait there and explore the other side! Half of the golden butterflies will come with you!"

Fate guy smiled bitterly, "Lucan, what if something attacks me?"

Lucan grinned, "What did you say you use your cosmic energy for?"

Fate guy replied, "Fighting..."

Lucan said, "Yeah, so just fight! And if you can't win, these golden butterflies will save you!"

Fate guy screamed, "Are you an idiot? You ask them yourself!"

Lucan asked, "Yo, will you save him if he is near death?"

The golden butterflies shook their heads as no.

Lucan said, "Oh, what about me?"

The golden butterflies all flapped their wings in unison, as golden yellow specks fell off them.

When seen from above, a bright golden word was on the ground, made of the specks:

'Yes'.

Lucan was amazed, "Amazing! This is so cool! How do your specks glow like that? Cosmic energy?"

Fate guy realized he was being ignored as he sought attention.

"Lucan, please do something for me!"

He sighed, "Huh, can you please save his life for me?"

The golden butterflies immediately agreed to it as they flew off towards Fate guy.

Lucan waved his hands, "Ok, I will see you later! Goodbye!"

Fate guy replied, "Ah, goodbye bro! Wait... did you say goodbye?!"

When he turned to look around, Lucan had already gone far past his eyesight.

He sighed as he turned around, "Golden Butterflies! At least will you listen to me?"

Even they had walked far past him.

He frowned as he rushed to catch up with them.

On the other side, Lucan thought, "This direction contains the place from Fate guy's memories.

I can't let him see it all. If he recalls his past, my life will be at risk. Maybe, hehe! It would still be fun.

But... my goal is what truly matters! I shouldn't die! I am not afraid of death, I just don't want to die without any reason.

If I die chasing my goal, it's alright! Hehe!"

Lucan called the golden butterfly, and it sat on his finger. It slowly flapped its wings as it laid still, waiting for Lucan's words.

His mouth moved as he smiled warmly, and he patted the butterfly.

"It's been long since I have had a conversation with my dad! Don't you think the same?"

The golden butterfly agreed immediately.

Lucan grinned, "I will write my message! You bring it to him on Earth, okay? Hehe, I think he might have thought that I had died!

I have an idea: you make yourself look hurt, and bring my message as if I had perished.

Let's prank him!"

The golden butterfly turned silver.

Lucan's face turned pale as his brain raced through his entire life up until now, looking for the reason for this change.

He realized it as his pupils shrank into needle size.

He said, "Forgive me! I won't say that I have perished! No prank, got it! Forgive me!"

The silver butterfly glared at him before it eventually turned back into the golden butterfly.

It brought him into the white room.

In front of him was the same paper and golden pen.

Golden yellow letters were on the paper:

'Alright, let's do this prank! Lu! Hoho, your laugh style is hehe, I decided to make mine hoho.'

Lucan grinned, "Hoho! Hehe, this laugh style is not bad in my opinion, and let's go! We are going to prank my dad! This is gonna be fun!

Wait, did you call me Lu?"

Lucan's eyes turned red as tears gathered in them.

His throat went dry as tears rolled down his cheeks. He wiped them off and said, "I don't know why, but I feel sad when I hear Lu.

I can't recall it, it was my nickname! Used by my... mother."

Lucan suddenly stopped walking as he looked at the sky.

He scoffed, "Golden Butterfly! I think pranking like that is bad. It would hurt them. Imagine them pranking me like that.

I am going to reveal that I am alive to my mother! Hehe, I want to hear her call me Lu once again.

Huh, but I can only dream. How can she talk to me again?!"

The golden butterfly nuzzled him as if trying to say, "Don't worry, I am here for you."

Only Lucan understood it as he laughed, "This world has mostly people who are emotional, and a few who are logical.

But I wanna be both! Hehe! And I just realized something wonderful about it.

The peak of happiness is crying, and the peak of sadness is laughing! Oh, I might become a philosopher, I guess!"

Lucan was outside the white room.

The golden butterfly said, 'I don't want to write and talk with you, let's just talk! This is much better.'

Lucan nodded, "Yeah, writing like that feels boring. This is much better, I don't know why though."

The golden butterfly flew away into the sky. It smirked one last time as it left.

Lucan realized that the golden butterfly was going to Earth.

He shouted, "But my message is unwritten?!"

It stopped flying as it smirked again. It gave him a clue: 'Video call.'

Lucan said, "Eh, video call? What is this supposed to mean? The mobiles from Earth won't work here.

Wait... I remember speaking directly with my dad! Using the golden butterfly!"

Lucan gazed at the sky with widened eyes and twitching lips.

The golden butterfly flew off as it realized he remembered the clue.

Lucan's lips curled up, "Ah, Golden Butterfly, you have a golden heart! Not gonna lie!"

He sat down as he started to wait. He called in the rest of the golden butterflies around him.

They pretended to be unaware of the situation, but secretly, all of them knew everything.

Their eyes spoke, but their mouths remained quiet.

On the other side, Fate guy was lying on the ground, sighing, "I am too lazy to move anymore, let me take a nap!"

The golden butterflies moved ahead, trying to make him more active.

But he said, "Get lost, I don't care! Lucan is not here, who can threaten me? Hahaha—"

But he noticed the golden butterflies moving towards his feet. He realized that he was going to face the most divine punishment in history:

Infinite tickling!

He started to laugh crazily as he stood up and ran ahead.

The golden butterflies chased him around.

He was like a person on Earth running away from bees chasing him.

He said, "I didn't break your beehive! Ah! Let me go!"
