No comparison
Him:
They may have a bigger house
But have they made it a home?
They may have more money,
But do they have instilled family value?
All that glitters isnt gold,
Sometimes its smoke and mirrors.
God blesses both rich and poor,
And how abundantly He has blessed us.
The beautiful life we have built,
Pours forth praise from our lips,
If we did not cry out,
The very rocks of the ground would shout aloud!
Comparison my dear is the thief of joy
Our reward is in heaven,
Treasures that never rust
Riches that cannot be stolen.
Her:
Truer words were never spoken,
Lover of my heart and soul,
We been blessed abundantly with children
Ministry to grow the kingdom
A home filled with love
And grace forever from above
We see what glistens on the outside
But did not see the struggle they had to go through
For anything worthy is forged in the fire 7 times
The aches and pains we did not witness.
Them together:
We healed ourselves with the help of God
To see every blessing falling on others
As a cause of celebration,
To rejoice with those who rejoice,
And to see the misfortune,
As a time to empathize and love them
To weep with those that weep,
To use our own blessings to bless others.
When one wins, we all win
When one falls, the other lifts them back up
And a three-strand cord is not quickly broken.
Amen.
