Hirkan used his teleportation to take us straight into Holy City. The small earthquake it caused should have caused us to be detected straightaway, but it didn’t matter by that point, because no one would notice if the ground started shaking.
The forcefield of divine power couldn’t withstand the flames falling from the sky, eventually crumbling to pieces, and a whirlwind of flames broke out in the middle of the main square the moment that it was destroyed. A huge gust of wind blew, and in an instant, a fiery storm soared as high the as the church’s spire and the heat produced by the flames distorted the air around it. The flames that had fallen like meteors before hadn’t been extinguished but continued to burn throughout the city.
Since it was a magic fire, it couldn’t be extinguished the same way that a normal fire could. The priests used their divine powers to try and put it out and loaded the knights’ weapons with their powers.
