Chapter #129
Even as I called his name, I couldn’t believe it was him. I hoped that I was just hallucinating. Even after opening and closing my eyes a few times, nothing changed. The man in front of me was Zahid Carnoire, and he was wearing the uniform of the paladins.
Hirkan’s face held a dumbfounded expression and he called out to Zahid in the same way that I had, as if his soul had left his body.
“Carnoire…?”
But there was no response from Zahid.
I was rendered speechless for a while, only able to stare at him. I couldn’t believe that he was wearing that pure white uniform. I had never expected to see him in something like that and it looked weirder because his shirt was tightly buttoned all the way up to his neck. He even had a sword around his waist.
“What…are you doing…?” I fumbled through my question.
