Emily practically ran into CeCe's room like somebody was chasing her with a knife.
The door slammed open violently.
"CeCe!"
CeCe, who had just finished removing her earrings while sitting in front of the mirror, nearly jumped out of her skin. "My gosh! Why are you entering like an assassin?!"
Emily ignored her and rushed toward the large mirror.
Then she froze. CeCe blinked in confusion before standing up slowly behind her. "What happened now?"
Emily stared at her own reflection in disbelief.
Her appearance had changed. Not completely. But enough to make her uncomfortable.
The sharpness around her eyes looked colder now. Her skin looked smoother, almost glowing unnaturally under the cave light. Even her lips looked paler. More elegant and dangerous.
And her hair… Those white strands were spreading slowly.
Emily touched her own face like she was checking whether it truly belonged to her. "What the heck…"
