Jay's pov:
I washed my face with cold water as I saw my face filled with dry tears.
The water was cold. Brutal.
I fixed my face. I looked weak. Someone that no one in LH has seen me like this.
I didn't want pity...I just needed someone understanding me.

Jare's pov:
I was there in the hallway. I saw Jay getting pulled by keifer. I was about to barge, hit him or even kill him.
But his confession.....it made sense.....for some god damn fucking reason.
I hate to admit that!
I was literally eavesdropping at their conversation that I shouldn't have but....curiosity kills the cat.
Everything made sense.
But he didn't have to go far to humiliation just to push her away from him.
He needed to trust her. Which he didn't.....can't blame him either on that, Jay does meddle a lot.....and he didn't know we were Mariano's either.
But calling her flirt? She was never a flirt.
I hate Jason.....
But I hate Keifer Watson more.
I don't care about the reason of 'why he did that'
But I do know that my sister is not a toy that can be given and taken every time people want.
She is not a trash people can use and throw. I'll make sure you all will not hurt her for the 2nd time.
Once is enough.
The door finally opened, I saw her running away fast wiping her tears that she did not even see me. My gaze stayed on her as she ran. Then back at the room where keifer was on his knees sobbing.
I returned to the classroom. As soon as I entered the first person I noticed was-
Mia.
She waved at me.
I took a seat next to her.
"You ok?" She asked.
"Yeah....just worried about Jay..." I leaned on her shoulder.
"She will be alright. We are there for her." It was her silent promise not only to Jay but to me.
Eliot entered slowly...Lia hovering behind him.
I slowly got off Mia's shoulder.
"What happened to you both?" I frowned.
"LIFE!" Lia snapped
"Exactly!" Eliot agreed.
Afterwards Arthur entered beside Savannah.
Before going to his desk, He stopped at me. Leaned towards me and whispered.
"Make your sister sit next to you please man! I want my girlfriend at least for one class!" He begged me craving for his gf's attention.
I chuckled and nodded.
"When is Caroline coming back I miss her" Lia whimpered behind me. Face falling in a 'bang' at her desk.
"No idea....." Eliot answered groaning
"Who is Caroline?" Mia asked me.
"Caroline is Jay's friend. A mythical. Jay's group. You might know her she is famous. Caroline Ashford."
Mia gasped.
"Isn't she a young Model working for brands!" She squealed.
I nodded.
Slowly everyone entered. Jason sat behind.
While I waited for Jay. The air changed when keifer entered. Eyes bloodshot. the matter is he didn't even try to hide it. Which angered me more. Section E were bothering him, asking him questions that he didn't bother answering.
I was waiting for Jay....she is never late. And today, for the first time she is late because of.....him.
2 mins. She entered in nick of time just before the teacher can.
She looked perfect again. No dry tears. Face in light make-up, hair fixed, eyes didn't look red.
It's like.....she looked like president everyone feared.
But we.....the mythicals knew that she cried. All of us. Because when she came all of us stopped speaking. SLowly another shadow came bind her.
Sarah.
She walked beside Jay, making her sit next to me and Sarah took her place somewhere behind us....
"You ok?" I whispered concerned.
"Yeah....just tired"
"We are always here Jay!" Mia promised.
Jay smiled faintly.
It didn't reach her eyes.
The teacher entered soon as carrying their usual routine of teaching. Dividing HVIS first while we do questions.
When it was the last class for the day. The announcement came in.
"So class, This announcement is for both school. LH has planned on conducting a party. You will be dancing, choose your partners accordingly. Both schools will attend. Thank the school pres. She is the one convince the school since all of you are working hard." The teacher announced.
Wait why only Jay? I was the one who mentioned the idea. 😭
Jay owes me.
HVIS cheered. Slightly. While some preferred to listen.
While we just listened.
The teacher turned walking away. But paused.
"No black outfits girls. Before you why? It's a formal party. Most of the boys will wear black and if you girls wear black too...it will feel like attending funeral. This applies to girls of both the schools"
We nodded like obedient dogs.
Jay just....stared.

I will try to post 2 more chapter today. You see I'm trying to complete my 3rd book 'when gravity pulls us' so that I can start my 4th book.
I have decided the name of my 4th book it's going to be:
"Igniting love (Jayfer)"
I'll be publishing it by 2pm as per Indian timing so be ready. I won't post a chapter there today. I'll just give the intro.
Also I seriously think god hates me! I got my periods early in the morning 🩸
Periods cramp are the worst. Especially the combination of stomach pain and fever.
So hope you understand. I'll try my best to post 2 more.
