Chapter 1 - Prologue

I had hanged myself using the prison bedsheet out of boredom. After getting sentenced to life for killing a man, I was slowly losing my sanity day by day. The same monotonous task drove me nuts.

I tried to resist it by starting prison riots and fights, anything to feel that adrenaline rush I so desperately craved, but eventually, after doing it so many times, it didn't hit the same.

And now I was a white blob trapped in pitch darkness. I could not see, hear, or even feel, yet I could at the same time; it was a weird experience, yet I was happy, daydreaming about what awaits me.

Would I be one of the lucky ones who gets Isekai like one of those webnovel protagonists, or rightfully get sent to hell?

Suddenly, the scenery changed to the prison cell I was in, and in front of me was my dead body. Time was seemely stop as I observed the terrified, frozen guards outside of my cell.

I would have let out a chuckle if I could; their expression was to die for.

"Michael Worst."

A deep booming voice echoed throughout the cell.

'So the big man finally arrived.' Michael thought.

"I am the God of Reincarnation. You have been chosen randomly to be Isekai into a world of your choosing. After you pick, we'll move on to the next part. I can hear your thoughts, so go ahead.'

'Me, out of all people, getting lucky? Consider me surprised, well, I don't want to keep you waiting, the world I want to get sent into is Jujustu Kaisen.'

"Done. Now, your special perks will be randomized. The first perk will be something from the verse itself, and the other will be from another one."

The whole prison quickly began to change into a myriad of colors; it was almost like spinning a roulette wheel. It eventually slowed down until it stopped, and then two dings rang out.

''You have been blessed with a heavenly restriction similar to Toji Zenin, and all three types of haki, though you will have to awaken them yourself. The level you can reach with your haki depends on your innate talent, willpower, and hard work. Good luck Micheal, hopefully in this next life things don't turn out the way they did."

'As long as I have fun, I'm sure it won't.' Michael thought.

His 'vision' slowly started to darken until it was pitch black. He opened his eyes again, which were very blurry now, and could hear noises, but he couldn't understand them.

Pov Switch: Ogi Zenin

'I can't believe it, he has zero cursed energy. Impossible, could he be like him?'

An overwhelming sense of fear and rage hit Ogi at once as he stared at his newborn son, Mamoru, who was beside his mom after she had just given birth. Ogi had only decided to impregnate Miyu Zenin in hopes of birthing a child with the ten shadow technique so that he could become the clan head. Now his dreams were destroyed, his son was now worth less than trash.

'A person born without cursed energy has no right to be in the Zenin Clan.'

Ogi slowly started pulling out his Katana much to the horror of the doctors and Miyu, yet they were too afraid of Ogi to do anything, knowing he could cut them down before they could even blink.

But he stopped and reluctantly pushed back down his blade. The ghost of Toji Zenin still haunts him to this day. He didn't want to admit it, but he was terrified of his newborn baby.

---

The news of Mamoru having zero cursed energy spread throughout the Zenin Clan. Ogi couldn't exactly hide it, considering his position and the fact that the doctors were sorcerers as well.

It was humiliating to Ogi and Miyu, who both started despising their son despite him not even being a couple of days old yet. It also piqued the interest of Naobito, Naoya, and Jinichi, who were now in a room with Ogi.

Jinichi was sitting down on the floor, rubbing his bread thoughtfully. Naobito wiped the alcohol out of his mouth after drinking from his gourd, and Naoya stood against the wall with a annyoed expression on his face.

"Mamoru is nothing to gassed up, Naobito. Toji was nothing more than-"

"Don't finish that sentence, uncle," Naoya said, cutting him off. "For you to even compare your worthless son to him is disrespectful." Nayoa finished with a cheeky smile.

Ogi instantly drew out his sword and slashed at Naoya, but he casually dodged it.

"He's indeed worthless, but he's still my offspring; anyone who calls him that is calling me worthless," Ogi said, sheathing his katana.

"If you're so sure he's like Toji, then once he turns the age of five, you should send him to the Disciplinary Pit," Naoya remarked casually.

Naobito nodded in agreement. "That's a good idea, if he truly has the same heavenly restriction, he should already have inhuman strength, for a five year old atleast."

"What if he grows to resent us?" Jinichi questioned.

The group went silent for a moment. They all knew deep down that Toji could have wiped out the entire clan at any moment; if they were to treat Mamoru the same, it could truly be the end for them.

"So the options are either to kill him now or be nice to him?" Nayoa asked out loud.

"Kill him," Ogi said instantly, earning a chuckle from Nayoa.

"Just how scared of Toji are you, uncle? Anyways, I want him alive, he would be fun to play with." Nayoa grinned.

"Keep him alive; he could be a very useful weapon for us," Jinichi said coldly.

"If he proves himself in the pit, he should be kept alive." Naobito slurred, finishing the remaining alcohol.

"Looks like he's going to be kept alive, sorry Ogi," Naoya said sarcastically.

Ogi slightly frowned before heading out.

'Insolent brat, I'll take Naobito's spot and kill you personally myself one day.'
