"Let's stop wasting time on pointless nonsense. I'll increase the price of every gold card by another fifty percent."
Then she looked directly at Fred and George.
"Now hand over every remaining card."
The moment those words landed—
Fred's eyes lit up instantly.

George exchanged a glance with Fred.
Both twins clearly shared the exact same thought.

Lacey naturally noticed their hesitation.

Fred shrugged casually.
"True."
George nodded.
"And honestly, we were very tempted."
Then George's expression gradually became more serious.
"But after thinking about it carefully, we both feel you probably have some kind of ulterior motive."
Fred folded his arms.
"So unfortunately, this business deal isn't worth the risk."
The twins weren't stupid.
If an ordinary Slytherin girl wanted Logan's cards, they would've sold them immediately without hesitation.
But Lacey wasn't ordinary.
Her family stood near the top of pure-blood society, almost approaching the status of the Malfoys themselves.
More importantly, she held significant influence among Slytherin girls.

Malfoy slowly approached while speaking calmly.
"Lacey," he said pleasantly, "would you care to guess what I just witnessed?"
The colour drained from Lacey's face immediately.
Without giving her time to recover, Malfoy continued attacking mercilessly.
"I saw a respected Slytherin witch secretly attempting to purchase Logan Anderson gold cards from two Gryffindors."
He paused deliberately.
"And I happened to overhear everything."
Lacey instantly panicked.
"No—that's not what happened!"
She quickly tried explaining.
"I wasn't buying them for that reason. I actually came here because—"
"Enough!"
Malfoy suddenly raised his voice sharply while pointing at her dramatically.
"Lacey, silence yourself."
His expression became ice cold.
"Our families represent the dignity of pure-blood wizard society."
"You should understand that better than anyone."
Malfoy stepped closer.
"No matter what excuses or 'special reasons' you invent, none of them justify secretly buying gold cards from Fred and George Weasley."
His voice became increasingly severe.
"Our families carry the honour of pure-bloods."
Then Malfoy lowered his tone dangerously.
"And if news of today spreads throughout Slytherin…"
He let the threat hang deliberately unfinished.
Lacey's face turned pale instantly.
She understood perfectly.
Being ostracised inside Slytherin would damage years of carefully cultivated social connections.
Worse—
If her family learned she secretly purchased merchandise involving a non-pure-blood wizard, her political enemies within the family would absolutely use it against her parents.
The old traditionalists would never let something like this go.
Cold sweat slowly formed across her back.
Damn it.
Why did Malfoy have to see this?
If anyone else discovered her secret, Lacey possessed countless methods to silence them.

"You must never again do something so foolish and disgraceful towards pure-blood society."
Lacey's expression twisted with humiliation and fury.
Eventually, she glared hatefully at Fred and George.
"You two got lucky today," she snapped.
Then she turned towards Malfoy.
"And you, Malfoy…"
Her voice became colder.
"Don't expect gratitude from me. I won't forget this humiliation."
After throwing out one final furious glare, Lacey stormed away furiously.
The twins watched her leave in stunned silence.
Then both slowly turned towards Malfoy.
Their expressions looked unbelievably confused.
Had the sun risen in the west today?

Actually helped them?
Meanwhile, Malfoy watched Lacey disappear into the distance while quietly sneering to himself.
What an idiot.
He merely used a few simple threats, and she immediately panicked.
Even if he actually spread rumours afterwards—
So what?
Fred and George never sold her any cards.
There was no evidence whatsoever.
Ultimately, she frightened herself.
As for why Malfoy intervened?
The first reason was simple.
He absolutely could not allow Fred and George to surrender all remaining gold cards to Lacey.

Draco Malfoy himself might never obtain one.
The second reason mattered even more.
Malfoy instinctively felt Lacey's interest in Logan wasn't genuine admiration.

She was clearly planning something suspicious.
Therefore, Malfoy became even more determined to stop her.
He would never allow anyone's schemes against Logan Anderson to succeed.
Women only slowed people down anyway.
