Jay's Pov
I got into his car and he started driving and both of us stayed silent, I did not want to talk because I already had a headache, So i decided to stay silent, he also stayed silent.
After some time, He cleared his throat before he started speaking,
David: "So how is everything going on with your life?"
Jay: "It's Good"
I say and he nods,
David: "Are you seeing someone?"
Jay: "What?"
David: "No, I am just asking as a friend."
Jay: "Right now no?"
David: "Are you interested in anyone?"
Jay: "Why are so interested in my love life right now?"
David: "No, No it's just, I wanted to know if you are happy, I mean I still feel guilty on breaking up with you."
Jay: "I am happy with my life, So don't feel guilty."
David: "So what about Keifer?"
Jay: "What?"
David: "Come on Jay, Do you like him?"
Jay: "I don't know, Maybe"
I saw his facial expression change when I said, what is he mad or jealous but why would he be, Is what Keifer said making sense?
He just hummed in response and we reached my apartment in the meantime,
Jay: "Thanks David"
David: "Anytime" he said with a smile,
I got down and was about to walk in when I noticed my car in the way,
Jay: "What the hell?"
I moved in to see, if anyone was inside, just to realise it was Keifer,
What is he doing here with my car, He was sleeping inside my car, I knocked on the window, He got startled a little and woke up and got out,
Jay: "What are you doing here?"
Keifer: "I.." he took a deep breathe before talking again,
Keifer: "I came to return your car, I know you will need it."
Jay: "Ofcourse I will need, right after you left me in the middle of the road."
Keifer: "That's what I actually wanted to talk to you about, I am sorry that I left you like that, I wanted to pick you up after you were done, I called you but it was switched off, So I thought maybe I can drop off the car here."
I don't know why I felt bad for a minute even though he was the one who left me in the middle but he still came back, I don't what category should I add him into, some times he is nice and the next time he behaves like a jerk
Jay: " It's Okay and Thanks for bringing the car back."
He nodded a with little smile and I got the keys from him, He turned to leave but there wasn't any other car,
Jay: "Keifer"
He turned towards and looked at me and waiting for me to speak,
Jay: "How are you going?"
Keifer: "Cab maybe"
Jay: "You know it's late and the chances of getting a cab is really low right?"
He just shrugged his shoulder,
Jay: "You did not think through how you will leave?"
He let out a breathe before speaking,
Keifer: "I know it was mistake for what I did to you, So I just wanted to rectify it, I did not think after it."
Jay: "Come I'll drop you."
Keifer: "No, it's fine."
Jay: "No negotiations here" I don't know why I did that maybe because I know getting a cab now is not possible and he came here just to drop my car.
I said and unlocked my car and got in and so did he,
Keifer: "you didn't have to do this but thanks"
I nodded,
Jay: "Can I ask you something if you don't mind"
he looked at me and nodded,
Jay: "Why did you behave like that, when I said it was the hospital"
He cleared his throat before he answered, but he did not look me in the eye instead he faced the window while he was answering,
Keifer: "I don't like hospitals" from his tone I understood he did not want to talk about it and I also didn't bother him,
I decided to change the topic,
Jay: "Did you have dinner?"
Keifer: "I am not in the mood to eat"
I scoffed and said,
Jay: "Who eat based on their mood, I am hungry so I am going to stop at a restaurant and you are eating to period"
Keifer: "You know just because I am letting you are making are making everything non negotiable"
Jay: "Or in simple words you can say I am always right and make good decisions"
He just scoffed,
Keifer: "You wish"
Jay: "you know its true " and both of us started laughing,
I don't know why but it felt light after the long day.
After that I stopped in a restaurant and we went in ate and came back and after that I drove to his apartment and reached there and he got down,
Keifer: "Thanks" he said in soft lower voice,
I just smiled and nodded and I was about to take my car but then I waited for him to fully go up, and he turned and looked at me and gave me a smile before going inside and so did I.
