Jay's Pov:
Today we have to see production works and we have to go and see, how the work for props are going on, I did not inform Keifer because he is anyways going to come to my office, since we are working together anyways,
He came to my office and he was in a good mood, I raised my eyebrows,
Jay: "You look in a good mood"
Keifer: "That's because maybe I am"
Jay: "Why may I ask?"
Keifer: "I don't know honestly, I just am"
Jay: "That's nice, are ready to visit the production house in sometime"
Keifer: "That's today?"
Jay: "Yep, why do you have some work?"
Keifer: "No, it just slipped my mind. And again why do we have to personally visit them"
Jay: "Like I said, I'd like to see they work and when we visit them, they will have in mind, that we might check in whenever we want, and will not be negligible with their work."
Keifer: "If you say so, anyways what time we have to be there"
Jay: "Maybe in about 3 hours"
Keifer: "Okay text me the place I will directly come there, I have some paperwork I have to meet my associate in a hour"
Jay: "Okay"
After that I did some work, and it was almost time to leave and I took my car and reached the place, the manager came and greeted me,
Manager: "Welcome ma'am,
Jay: "Wow, you guys are working on full swing"
Manager: " Yes ma'am and also please be careful around since some heavy material projects are going on"
Jay: "Yeah sure but can we wait a few minutes my partner is yet to come"
Manager: "Sure"
After few minutes he arrives with his shades and suits, one thing I know for sure now, this man likes to make entrance wherever he goes, and I give a chuckle thinking that, getting to know him, I don't know it has been more fun than I thought it would be. He came towards me and started speaking,
Keifer: "So what are we going to do here?" he asked removing his shades
Jay: "like I said few production supervisions"
he nods his head joins me, We start looking around and honestly everyone is doing a pretty good job,
Keifer: "I have a question"
I sigh, and say "Go ahead"
Keifer:" How do you want your dream wedding to be"
I give him a look,
Jay: "Why do you want to know that?"
Keifer: "I am taking notes so it will be useful in the future"
Jay: "How is it going to be useful?"
Keifer: "When we meet them at our next meeting, I will just casually lay down that this is how you want your wedding to be or maybe a slip up and say our wedding" he says it seriously but I don't why his expression makes me laugh,
but before I could answer we hear a scream coming both of us turn around to see one of the worker have injured himself and is bleeding heavily, we both run towards him,
Jay: "What happened ?"
Staff: "Ma'am we have to take him to the hospital immediately but we don't have any 4 wheeler here"
Jay: "Where is emergency medical staff?"
Staff: "They don't usually come "
Jay: "What? Never mind now let's take him to hospital in our car, Keifer "
All of us help to get him into the car,
Jay: "Keifer, drive we have to take him to the hospital"
He stands there in still before he answers,
Keifer: "No"
Jay: "What do you mean no, this is not the time for your like or dislike, we have to go"
Keifer: "No, I cannot " he says and stumbles
I did not have the time to argue so,
Jay: "Can some else come and drive?"
A staff come and start driving and we reach the hospital and admit and wait for the procedure to get over, finally once doctor come and says that everything is done and he is safe. I feel calm and let out a breathe,
Then I remember what Keifer did and all my anger direct towards and I qucikly take my car to go to his place after getting the information from his assistant,
I went in and searched for him and finally found him in the balcony,
Jay: "What was that?" I shout at him while he was facing the other side,
he turns back his face does no have an expression, it is almost colourless,
Jay: "How can you leave a person in pain in such kind of situation? I know you don't like hospitals but there was a person in pain and he was suffering. What do you think of yourself? That your respect and status will come down if help the person in need or are you just too egoistic to help the employees"
He stayed silent, I feel like I am not going to get anything from him, So I turn to leave because his silence is more infuriating.
Keifer: "If I had taken him, he would have been in more danger"
I turn after he says that and notice that his eyes were red and there is new dried wound with blood on his forehead,
Jay: "What?"
Keifer: "I cannot go to the hospital"
I still have a clueless expression in my face, while he continues,
Keifer: "My mother was in an abusive relationship with my dad, he used to torture her and me, but she mostly saved me from that, they used to have fights all the time, he would beat her ruthlessly, I would get so scared that I hide somewhere but also feel ashamed of myself that I could not help her,
then one When I was around 14 or 15, he came home after drinking heavily and started beating her, she was bleeding and was suffering when I saw, I didn't know what to do, I took her to the hospital, I could see her fighting for life but also mostly suffering, then the doctor came and started talking and my mind did not take anything it started spinning, then I went inside to see, I started crying, the she was suffered a fix, in front of my eyes, I called doctors for help they came and did some procedure which I saw taking place right in front of me, then I saw the beeps going went off and also her leaving me and that's all I remember " he says with tears dropping from his eyes,
Kefier: "The very next time when I went to the hospital, I started remembering everything and the voices and the images came into me and I started having a panic attack, I tried everything but I couldn't step into that place, she always protected me but I couldn't protect her and she was the only one there for me " he says in a broken voice while crying,
I don't know when tears start pouring in my eyes, I did not imagine him to have went through all of these things alone in such a young age, and here I was shouting at him without knowing anything,
He stands there still crying and I run to him immediately and hug him,
Jay: "Sorry" I muter slowly while crying, he does not hug back yet, then he realises and slowly hug me back tightly like letting his weight down for once, that is when I realise how much he needed this, We stay like that for a while.
