Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: The Fall and the Files

The helicopter pilot, a man who had flown in warzones, looked at his engine diagnostics. The entire flight control system was failing because a garment bag was choking the tail rotor. It was the most offensive thing he had ever seen.

"CEO Park! We're going down! We have to deploy the emergency chute!" the pilot yelled.

The Aegis Corp "executive parachute" was a localized gravity-well system designed to lower the helicopter cabin slowly from high altitudes. Park activated it, and the chopper stabilized, descending gently toward a deserted construction site.

Min-jun didn't wait. He released his grip, dropping twenty feet and rolling to a stop just as the chopper landed.

The cabin door was kicked open. CEO Park stumbled out, no longer the intimidating corporate warlord. His expensive suit was torn, and his eyes were wild with panic.

"Stay away from me, you monster!" Park yelled, holding the metal briefcase like a shield. "I built this empire! I am Aegis Corp!"

Min-jun dusted off his lapel and approached him slowly. His walk wasn't the tentative shuffle of the errand boy anymore; it was the predatory stride of an emperor.

"You built an empire on lies and the sweat of people you considered trash," Min-jun said, his voice dropping an octave. "You stole the 'Ghost Files' from your own server—the encryption keys that contain the offshore account data and the security tapes from the night you tried to kill me."

Park laughed, a high-pitched, desperate sound. "You'll never get them! The briefcase is biometrically locked to my pulse! If I die, it explodes!"

"Master told me once," Min-jun smirked, "that there are three ways to open a locked safe. A key, a bomb, and specialized laundry detergent."

Min-jun pulled a small, innocuous-looking spray bottle from his sleeve. "This is 'Sparkle & Spin's' patented stain remover. It's guaranteed to remove coffee, wine, and... biometric locks." He sprayed the fluid onto the briefcase's handle.

Fizz.

The metal dissolved like spun sugar, the lock clicking open instantly. Min-jun didn't even touch the CEO. He just smiled as the briefcase popped open, spilling the hard drives onto the muddy ground.
