Chapter 42: I miss you
Zein's Point of View
I felt my body weakening while looking at the people putting something on me. Everything was blurry and I couldn't see their faces, I just knew they were wearing surgical masks and white clothes. I felt my vision spin again.
I woke up in a wide, white space. I scanned my eyes across this unfamiliar room. There were no other furnishings except the white bed I was lying on, no windows, only a fluorescent lamp providing light, and a locked single door.
I looked at what I was wearing. I was still in my school uniform. I tried to move my legs expecting severe pain, but there wasn't any. I didn't feel any pain, no trace of the thick pole that hit me. My forehead creased and I helped myself sit up.
I touched my back but also felt no stinging pain. It's impossible that I'm dead because I know I'm still breathing, what happened? Where am I?
The door opened and a man in a laboratory suit and surgical mask entered. He glanced at me briefly before approaching me and holding my leg to check it.
"Do you feel any pain or sting at all?" he asked while continuously scanning my leg as if looking for something there.
"N-No." I replied in a low voice.
Even though I didn't feel any pain, I could still feel my body weakening and struggling to breathe. I felt suffocated in this place even though it was spacious.
"Good. No scar nor bruise."
"Wait!" I stopped him when he was about to leave.
He stopped turning the doorknob and looked back at me with a raised eyebrow. I swallowed.
"Where am I? Who are you?" I asked.
"Sorry, young lady, I cannot answer those questions." He left and I was left in a daze.
I just sighed and moved my leg again. I couldn't help but smile, what kind of treatment did they do to me that it's like a miracle I'm not crippled?
I remembered what they did to me, so I couldn't help but smile. Wait for me, you hypocrites, I've been pretending for a long time too, and one move and I can escape and be free. Wait for me, I'm almost free.
All my hatred disappeared when I saw who was now standing at the door. His deep eyes covered by glasses were staring at me, mixed with excitement and worry. My heartbeat worsened as I matched his gaze.
"Y-You're awake." The first words that escaped his lips before a smile appeared, which made my breathing easier. I don't know why this guy has this effect on me, it's crazy.
I watched him approach me. Every step he took felt like a bounce in my heart that wanted to escape and go to him. I couldn't stop myself from standing up and running to him.
I gasped when our bodies met and when his arms wrapped around my back. I don't know but I felt like we hadn't seen each other in days to feel this kind of longing. God! I badly missed this guy and I don't know why.
"Damn! You really are awake!" he cursed clearly before tightening his hug around me even more.
I couldn't help but smile at his very tight hug, which I reciprocated.
Even though I didn't want to let go of our embrace, I forced myself to. He faced me and I could still clearly see the worry in his innocent eyes, extreme worry.
"Y-You scared me." he said, stammering. "You scared me so much, Zein. I was so scared." he repeated.
Supremo Ace Craige, scared? As far as I know, he's only afraid of cats, but I didn't know I could scare him too. Should I be happy?
"H-How are you feeling?" I asked.
I still couldn't help but worry about what I did to him. He shook his head and helped me sit on the bed.
"Just seeing you, I'm fine. So please, don't ask if I'm okay while you're here." he said.
Here he is again, saying words that melt me.
"S-Supremo. Why are you so handsome?"
I don't know where I got that question and it just escaped my lips. Damn! What did I just say?! He seemed to have hypnotized me. GOD! You're embarrassing, Zein. You just woke up and you're already saying things.
"I don't know, I didn't know I was handsome. As far as I know, Matthew is the handsome one for you." He replied, laughing.
"He's handsome, yes, but you're different. I don't know why but there's something different about you."
"Stop it, Zein Shion! Are you making me blush?!" he asked slightly irritated, which made me laugh.
I almost wanted to pinch his cheek out of excitement that he still hasn't gotten rid of being high blood and the furrowing of his forehead and eyebrows whenever I tease him. I missed teasing him!
"Why, are you blushing?" I teased.
"Yes! I'm blushing, are you happy now?"
My jaw dropped as I looked at him. Huh? Why was it so easy for him to admit he was blushing? Wow! He didn't even hesitate, well Supremo is Supremo. But, he's blushing? UGH!
"But I warned you, if you make me blush, I will never let you go."
He's really arrogant, as always. Even if he doesn't make me blush, just seeing him makes me blush. Effortless. Doesn't he know that? Especially when he says words that almost make me melt into his chest. Tsk!
"Zein?"
"Hmmm?"
"I miss you."
"Fuck you!"
"I really miss you. Can I hug you, again?"
Before I could even answer, he hugged me again. Willing, I returned the hug and almost exploded from trying so hard not to scream.
Is this what you mean by making me blush? Huh? Supremo? Congrats! Super effective.
I'm falling again. You're annoying, Supremo.
"I've only felt this now, I've only felt the feeling that it feels good to kill... especially if you're the reason." He whispered while stroking my hair. I closed my eyes at what he did and leaned my head on his shoulder.
"I'm willing to be a sinner for you." He added.
I felt tears fall from my eyes. I'm also willing to kill for you, Supremo. I'm willing to become a demon for you.
He faced me and wiped my tears. "You're mine, okay? Promise me, Zein. I'm really scared of what else might happen. Stay here please... stay here by my side, Zein." He said, looking into my eyes that reached my soul.
I can't promise, but I will try. I will try to hug you as long as I can.
"Supremo, I'm always by your side. Only I can stand beside you. Remember that, I will fight to the death for this spot." I pointed to his chest.
"Only you deserve this spot, you are the first and last one who deserves this." He pointed to his chest. "My heart is reserved only for you. Do you still remember when I told you there's a place in this hell where you're safe?" He asked.
I remembered when he told me that. On the last day of bloody week.
"As long as I am breathing, you are safe. I am Craige, your shield, your bulletproof, your knight... my queen."
He leaned me on his shoulder and for a moment, silence consumed us. I didn't know I could fall in love with someone like this, I didn't know I would find heaven in this hell. I will never regret being stupid enough to enter this hell. I just so love this damn hell.
We sat up straight when someone suddenly entered. All the blood rushed to my head when I saw her palm land on Supremo's cheek.
I felt like I could kill, right now.
"You are such a disappointment." Madame Violet said with gritted teeth. "This is the last warning, Supremo." She added.
"Do what you want, I finally found my happiness and there is no hell I will let this feeling fade."
"You are just like Lux. You have the same destiny as the former Supremo."
Supremo stood in front of her and I saw Madame Violet freeze. I saw fear flash in her eyes when she saw Supremo smiling but with blazing eyes.
"Do you think I will let you do what you did before?" Supremo asked. "You're mistaken. Just try to touch the woman beside me, and I will make you taste real hell." Supremo warned her, which even made me shiver.
There was no trace of a joke in what he said. It was pure and you know it's true. I couldn't help but be afraid of what Supremo might do. I haven't fully seen the demon hiding within him and I don't think I want to see it.
"A-Are you threatening me?" Headmistress asked, clearly intimidated.
Damn this guy!
"No, but if you do what you're planning. You should be scared."
Madame Violet angrily left the room. I held Supremo, who was still blazing, to calm him down.
He looked at me, smiling.
"You are what I'm fighting for, so I'm making sure it's bloody."
We looked when the door suddenly opened and two men in surgical masks entered. I looked at Supremo, who was just smiling at me.
"It's ok." The last words I heard before I passed out.
I woke up in our room, surrounded by my friends. I felt someone hug me and sob.
"Zein! Finally, you're awake!" Mia said, sobbing.
I couldn't help but smile. They helped me sit up and Dave gave me water.
"Does anything still hurt?" Mart asked me.
I shook my head as an answer.
"God! You've been lying here for three days." Vanessa said, stroking my hair.
My forehead creased and I stared at them to see if what Vanessa said was true.
"Serious?" I asked, unbelievable.
"Do I look like I'm joking? But thanks God! You're finally awake." Vanessa added.
I was asleep for three days? That long?
"Let's leave her for a while so she can rest." Jerome suggested, pulling Vanessa who was resisting.
"Eh? Come on! I missed Zein! I want to stay beside her!" Vanessa said like a child.
"As if she missed you." Jerome teased, so now Vanessa pulled him out and I heard Jerome whine.
Matt nodded at me and fixed the pillow behind my back.
"Rest first, Queen Zein." He said before kissing me on the forehead and following them.
What did he say?
I was left in silence and remembered everything. I frowned when I realized something. Those in laboratory suits and surgical masks.
Is it possible that Supremo brought me inside the hidden laboratory? Is that why Madame Violet is so angry? Is that why my quick recovery seems like a miracle?
Damn! Why didn't I think of that right away?
"Meow."
I jumped in surprise when Hoy suddenly jumped onto my bed and sat on my lap. "Hoy!" I exclaimed and quickly hit its head.
"You always love to surprise me!" I said, laughing.
"Meow"
"Yeah, I miss you too." I replied, which made me
laugh.
I took it and stroked its fur. Suddenly, I remembered Supremo when I looked at it. Damn! I miss him again. I miss him!
I carried Hoy and peeked out the door. They were gone, probably already in their respective classes.
I faced the mirror and fixed my clothes. Darn! I won't be at peace until I see Supremo. Nothing much, I just want to see him.
"Meow."
"You're right, Hoy, we're going to Daddy Ace." I said to Hoy because I felt like it was asking me why I was fixing my hair.
"You miss him, I know." I added.
"Meow."
When I was satisfied, I left the dorm and walked. I was carrying Hoy who was just quiet.
My forehead easily creased when I noticed that the students were avoiding me. When someone passed me, they would bow or quickly leave the path.
I feel like a queen now.
"Meow."
"Shut up, Hoy. I can't understand you. Just, be a good boy, okay? Don't surprise Supremo, I will really hit you."
I was talking to Hoy like a fool, and it quieted down. The bell rang, signaling that it was time for class, so the students quickly disappeared from the surroundings.
They are really afraid of being caught by Supremo. He is really scary. I suddenly remembered the first time I saw him. Nerd demon. He almost broke my arm and put the Supreme Mark Warning Number 1 on me.
"You don't have class?"
I was frozen in my spot when I heard a voice behind me that made my heart leap. I slowly turned to him.
He had a poker face while looking at me. As usual, he was still holding his logbook where things were recorded.
"I-I don't?" I asked unsurely, "Am I not excused? I mean, right? Something happened to me?" I explained, which made him raise an eyebrow.
"Meow."
His eyes landed on Hoy, so he cleared his throat.
"You are not excused."
I swallowed while matching his deep gaze. "You don't need an excuse. You are the Queen, after all." He suddenly smiled, which made me stop.
He was about to hold my arm when he saw Hoy looking at him. "Shit." He whispered softly before clearing his throat again.
"Follow me." He commanded, which I followed.
I smiled as I followed him. Just like the first time we met, he was very cold now and I didn't know why, but I was excited. Psh.
We entered the Gymnasium where no one was. We sat on a chair. I placed Hoy on my lap.
"How are you feeling?" He started, not looking at me

"I'm fine. I was asleep for three days?!"
I still can't believe I can sleep for that long.
"I planned that." He said. He turned to look at me.
"Because you have a new responsibility as the Queen of Hell University." A corner of his lips raised while my forehead creased.
"Queen of-What are you talking about?" I asked confused.
"Roxane Allister is no longer the Queen of HU. It is you now."
"Really?"
"Do I look like I'm joking?" He asked a bit irritably.
"Seriously?!" I asked incredulously.
"I am dead serious. And Matthew is the new King."
After he said that, my eyes suddenly sparkled. Even though I just consider Matt a friend, I still have a crush on him, so I couldn't help but feel a thrill.
"You seem happy with that huh?" He said a bit irritably.
"Kneel in front of me." I commanded, which made his jaw drop.
His eyebrow creased again. "Why would I follow you?"
"Because I am the Queen and you are just a President." I replied confidently, which made him laugh softly.
"I am still higher than you, Queen Zein. You are just in the 4th place while I am leading the H10." Now it was his turn to brag.
I couldn't help but be amused.
"You are number 1?" I asked further. He cleared his throat before proudly nodding. "Waah! I am so proud of you!" I said happily, which made him smile. "Is Matt included?" I asked next.
"Y-Yeah? Rank 7."
"He's so good!" I said, even standing up in joy. "Just a moment, Supremo, okay? I need to congratulate Matt." I said my goodbyes, but he quickly held my arm.
"You are not leaving." He said flatly.
"I am the Queen!" I struggled, which made him smirk

"And you know that I do not give a damn." He made me sit down again, so I had no choice but to obey him.
"Oh, by the way, Supremo, Baby Hoy misses you." I brought Hoy close to him, so he quickly moved back, almost losing his balance.
"Get that away from me!"
"Matt likes Hoy though." I said pretending to be sad.
He cleared his throat again.
"Why is it always Matt?" He asked a bit irritably.
"DUH! Of course he's my friend. The first man who captured my eyes." I replied rudely.
"I am the one who captured your heart."
"Are you sure?" I asked further, which annoyed him.
"Why, Zein? Am I not?" He asked a bit irritably.
"I don't know about you."
I stood up when I saw Angelica running towards us panting. There was blood on her left shin where a nail was stuck.
"S-Supremo. Help me."
She sat on the floor and couldn't move her shin anymore. She was also covered in sweat. Even though I didn't understand what was happening, I still couldn't help but worry.
"What happened to you?" I asked worriedly.
I was surprised when she pushed me away, so my back hit the chair and I dropped Hoy.
"Damn!" I felt Supremo hold me.
I looked at Angel who was looking at me angrily.
"Ahh!" She screamed again and suddenly another nail was embedded in her left leg.
I looked at a girl not far away. She was smirking at me while playing with a nail in her finger. Nicky.
"Are you okay?" Supremo asked me.
"Meow."
"Angel needs treatment." I said
Supremo looked at Angel who was crying. "Don't worry. I had the poison removed from the nails so you will only feel numbness. You are not dying yet, not yet." Supremo said to her.
I rose in the air and held Supremo's arm. "You just recovered and you're hurt again. Annoying." He said to me.
I turned to the back where Angel was screaming when Nicky pulled her hair.
Angelica's angry gaze, which seemed to be planning something bad again, still did not escape me.
Psh.
