Kord wheeled his mount beside the granary bridge while fifty armed retainers gathered between his poleaxe and Malor's raised command. Hajin hit the western lane as the first mounted wedge swung toward the clinic, putting its route right before him.
"Leave no witnesses!" Kord swept his poleaxe toward the houses as his riders split around the granary's loaded carts, "kill them before they reach the doors!"
"Witnesses? Fuck you, those are my people!" Hajin planted his right foot at the bridge's mouth while the Chain rose above its narrow approach.
"Hold the civilian lanes, they stay on the road!"
"Southern passage held!" Elise braced her rapier as the first mounted flank smashed into her gathered light.
"Keep the families moving!"
Cassie drove her sword's point beneath a loosened paving stone, and earth mana heaved its edge across the eastern entrance.
