Jude leaned back against the chair slowly as his eyes were fixed on Betty
"Well, well...he tapped his fingers on the table "They wanted to tell me the truth", he said quietly
Betty let out a very nervous laugh forcefully
"The truth? The truth about what if I may ask?"
"Well, about the picture and clip that went viral on Scarlett and Michael Gerard...nine years ago", Jude replied firmly
Betty's fingers tightened around her dress
"Sir, I really don't understand", she said slowly
"Oh! You don't understand?"
She nodded once
"You will understand very soon", he said quickly
There was an instant silence that swallowed the room
Jude reached out for his phone, unlocked it, and pressed the speaker button
"Oh! Thank God, I recorded the call I just received"
Betty's heart skipped a beat
"Sir..."
John Ball's voice immediately filled the boardroom
"...the files that contained the photographs and clip were submitted by your personal assistant, Betty Kane..."
