18th August 2049.
Raghav, Janu and their son Kalki lived with Mrs. Vasudev in a lonely bungalow, ever since the death of Mr. Vasudev.
"I am going to meet Draupadi at the Café near her house. Are you coming with me, ma?", Raghav asked. That 'ma' was Raghav's 'darling'. For Janu, its far more lovely than a 'darling'. That's his ultimate weapon. Once used, she can never refuse.
"Sure Raghav", Janu replied.
Just then Indrajit arrived in his Lexus. Raghav took the driver seat from him. Since it was a long journey, Janu preferred to take the rear seat alone. Indrajit took the middle seat just behind Raghav. Indrajit's partner Nag took the seat adjacent to Raghav.
Raghav introduced Indrajit and Nag to Janu.
It was at the halfway point. An Urus came racing on a steep turn and hit their car sideways exactly at the driver's seat. For a moment, Janu couldn't comprehend what just happened. All she could see was her husband badly injured, fighting for a breath. Vocal cords and tear glands betrayed her brain. Indrajit was also injured, but she never minded. She called for help but no one was ready.
Every living being watched the scene as it was a movie being shot with surreal effects. Empathy had left the planet. Janu never needed that. She just pulled her husband out and made him lay on the Urus. She rolled the steering wheel straight towards the hospital.
Nag escaped with minor scratches. He called an ambulance for his partner and went to the same hospital. What was intriguing to Nag was that the actual driver of the Lambo was nowhere to be seen. No one saw him run away. It seems like he just vanished into thin air.
Raghav was taken into the operation theatre immediately. Janu got a call from Draupadi. She explained the situation to her. Indrajit and Nag recovered in a short time. Draupadi rushed to the hospital. Hearing the news, Jay also came there. Janu saw fear in his eyes. When he met Indrajit, tears rolled down his eyes. He just squished him in his willow-arms, until the nurse came to Indrajit's rescue.
Jay said," If you've said, I would have brought you a fleet of choppers."
He then watched the sleeping Raghav from the translucent door.
Jay and Indrajit introduced themselves to Janu and Draupadi respectively.
"GL Jay, you don't need an intro.", Janu said as she introduced herself.
Raghav recovered quite fast. Jay was furious on the Police as they weren't able to find the driver of the Lambo even after a week. It was rented from a local by a handsome, middle aged man.
After a week, Jay went to the hospital to meet Raghav. The Lambo's owner was brought to the hospital by the police.
The Lambo owner said," So you've shaved your grey beard", looking Raghav straight in his eyes.
Jay asked, "What the hell are you blabbering, you idiot?"
Raghav said, "I've neither got a beard nor a grey hair."
Jay said, "Brother, don't consider this madman."
He then turned towards the Police," Just take him away. Do whatever you can. I need results in a week."
The Police pulled him out against his resistance.
"Heard what that fool spoke?" Draupadi asked Aditya, standing near the wall.
"I know exactly what's happening here", Aditya replied.
"Ohh.. So you do?", Draupadi asked doubtfully.
"But none of you would understand."
