"Idiot, you thought I won't come, right?", Raghav asked Draupadi, wiping off her tears.
"But, you said that you've already announced the event."
"Yeah, that's why this much noise."
"Then...?", Draupadi asked hesitantly.
"Just go and get married, girl", Raghav laughed.
Draupadi laughed too, to his relief.
"Thank you for coming here with your family, Janu", Raghav said as he hugged her. Raghav's parents got along easily with Janu's, as they usually do.
They holded each other's hands, fingers entangled, as they walked out into the dark.
Janu said," I've got something to say.", looking him at his eyes.
Her eyes spoke to him more then she ever would.
He asked,"Do we need a conversation here?"
"Yes!", Janu replied.
"I know what you're gonna say and you surely know what my reply is. But we must give our loved ones the privilege of knowing our decisions, before we notify each other."
"That seems genuine. But don't you ever dare to escape from me"
"Let her get married first. Then you can have your melodrama"
"Enough of your philosophy, Aristotle. The night calls for some romance", Janu said sarcastically.
"Let me order a kg", Raghav chuckled.
Raghav took Janu in his arm. Janu rested her head on his shoulder.
"Why don't you ask about my past, as you boys usually do?", Janu asked.
"What? 'we boys usually do'? as if you've been with a dozen of 'em", Raghav smiled.
"Why don't you think I could have been with a dozen of 'em?", Janu asked.
Raghav stopped walking and held her by her shoulders.
"Your eyes tell me a different story, ma."
Janu was awestruck. Her jaws didn't respond to neural signals.
"Hey, its time!", Aditya shouted from the hall's entrance.
The three of them went inside and witnessed their beloved Draupadi's wedding.
Raghav went to Draupadi and said, "That gorgeous girl near my mom clad in blue. She's my love. What do you think about we getting together?"
Draupadi couldn't answer. Thoughts raced in her mind. She didn't ask for his permission but that doesn't stop him. She knew that he knows that too. "So that's his wedding gift", she thought.
"Just go and get married, dear", Draupadi said, patting Raghav's back.
Raghav went away with a smile.
And then, with their parents, Raghav and Janu confessed that they're partnering not only for the project but also for life. For love...
